The Plastunskaya Rifle Division of the Red Army (9th Krasnodar Red Banner Order of Kutuzov and Order of the Red Star) traces its history back to the 9th Rifle Division of the Red Army, which was formed in the Kursk, Lgov, and Belgorod provinces
The winding roads of the Civil War (Tsaritsyn – Oryol – Crimea – Kuban – Transcaucasia) led this unit to the Caucasus, where it was stationed in Georgia. In 1922, the name “Caucasian” was added to the division’s name, and in 1931, it was renamed “Mountain Rifle Division.”
This military unit consisted of three rifle regiments. In addition, the division included the following units: a pack-mule artillery regiment; an anti-tank division; a separate reconnaissance company; a sapper battalion; a separate communications company; a medical battalion; a chemical protection company; an auto company; a field bakery; a veterinary hospital; a field post office; and a field branch of the State Bank.

The first enemy unit with which the 9th Mountain Rifle Division came into fire contact was the 1st Mountain Jäger Division “Edelweiss”. Interestingly, the Soviet mountain riflemen entered the battles for the Klukhore Pass in parts, as they approached their destination.
After a success workshops were urgently set up throughout the regional center and villages, where thousands of sets of plastun uniforms were sewn: Kuban hats, Circassian coats, beshmets, and bashlyks.

Welp when You mentioned ww2 cavalry and horses i had a stupid idea that no one including me would like ( i Guess) but what if we turn the horses into ww2 umamusume anime girls type Shi XD? Ofc peak nonsense but think on how Big and stupid asf the possibilities could be
