Recruitment changes were too drastic

And you sound like a whale that has no problem shelling out cash whenever daddy Gaijin commands it  who’s a good little whale? Jokes aside tho, this isn’t an unreasonable stance to have man. It’s plain as day how bs it is to try and limit such an aspect of the F2P player’s experience. Especially in such a way as this.

I’m not looking at this from a “I SHOULD HAVE EVERYTHING WAH” stance. I’m looking at this from both a paid player’s standpoint, and from a game dev standpoint. Game design wise, this makes no sense for player retention. And from the F2P player’s perspective, this is just a bs way to try and strong arm them into buying the Elite BP or into buying premium or some shit.

It’s ok to call out this type of bs when you see it man. It’s not about “I want everything NOW”, it’s about trying to keep the game fair in some way that doesn’t artificially ruin the experience for no reason other than money. And of course, I know the game and the WORLD runs on money. I’m no child I know how things work. I just don’t suckle on cock when people tell me to do so :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey man, everyone grows at their own pace in life. No need for this constant “maturity” attack  It literally adds nothing of substance to your argument. If anything, you sound like the child here diverting to an irrelenvant point because you have no better points to make :open_mouth:

So i don’t know about all of you but i’ve always played this game as F2P and gotten immense enjoyment out of it for the time i played, with that i can’t deny,
however, since this last update the Devs have decided to completely screw over a large portion of their playerbase, myself included.

By the needless removal of the ability to purchase a random soldier with a bronze troop order and giving absolutely 0 ways of earning them unless you either A. Get lucky and i mean very lucky on a daily log in reward, B.
You happen to have 1 as an unlockable for you BP that day of which you can only get rewards once a day (i’ve gotten 2 so far from bp and my next is in 3 days)
OR you do what i did and make a completely new account to get all the “first time” rewards and play a new campaign.

I’m really just about done with this game, tired of playing the same maps on Berlin as the Axis just because i have grinded to lvl 12.
got the mp40 and mg34 and have absolutely no desire to go on a different campaign and attempt to do the same grind only this time with squads of 4 instead of upto 9.

This was a real half arsed update which was either not properly thought through and a genuine fuck up on the devs half being something that was over looked, or this is a genuinely malicious attempt to make the grind not just unbearable but actually remove all sense of progression completely.
And hope that forces players like myself who know what enjoyment you can get from this game to buy premium and gold.

Now i know what some of you will think or be saying, “oooh don’t be cheap and by the gold and fix your issue” but i will retort with for myself and many others that’s not a realistic, feasible
or financially available option, i played this game under the guise that this was a F2P game with a subscription option for those who enjoyed it
enough and had the ability to pay for it.

However the full experience was available for free at a slightly slower pace (Subs get 100% exp boost) allowing all those F2P players to get the same gear, levels, Full squads, soldiers tanks whatever, as the ones who paid for that sub (Premium squads excluded).

Now it could be a very easy fix and i will note some examples i have came up with as well as seeing others sharing similar ideas. 1) Simply restore the old system of purchasing random lvl 1 troops with bronze and specific lvl 2+ troops with silver. 2)
Make silver orders actually obtainable through game play, maybe for every 5-8k exp in a match would net you a silver order, randomly either weapon or troop. 3) the final idea would simply have some kind of conversion for Bronze into Silver at maybe a 6 or 10:1 rate.

Personally i think the first option would be the easiest to implement because you are literally returning the old system minus the academy but regardless, something needs to be done about the current state of the game for F2P players. Thank you for taking the time to read this slight rant and i hope you can provide constructive feedback in the comments.

But it wasn’t just lvl 1 you could get, u also got a chance to grab higher, ie, i jagged a tier 1,lvl 5 and a tier 2 lvl 5, was so happy.

There’s a lot of good points here. Requiring silver orders for troops has proven to be a mistake, as getting new and needed soldiers was one of the last things in the game that wasn’t completely monetized.

As it sits, with the recruitment changes, a game that was already pay to progress is toeing the line of pay 2 win.

We always could pay to skip the campaign grind
we always could pay to get the soldiers and weapons we wanted right away, and fully upgraded
hell, since they introduced the monetization, with enough money a guy could pay to skip all the progression mechanics, full stop.

Now, in addition to this, they’ve taken away the only reasonably efficient way F2P players had for getting troops to fill newly unlocked slots in their squads. Now, if they want to compete, they have to hope to earn enough silver orders to do so, but that process is slow and not guaranteed after the achievements are complete. Can speed it up by buying battlepass, sure, but that’s my point: People who don’t spend money in the game are now at such a disadvantage to people who spend basically any money at all that I’d say it’s fair to call a horse a horse, and Enlisted is Pay to Win.

Notably though, the Devs have heard us on this issue, and are already working on it.
Alternate ways to get Silver Orders - English speaking section / News - Enlisted
Would it have been better if they didn’t make this mistake this way in the first place? Yeah, it would have, but I’m waiting to see what they do to correct it, with guarded optimism.

Where exactly have you earned this enormeous amount of silver orders from? I don’t earn a single one in 10 matches - not even when first on my team - always only bronze orders.

Only silver orders I get are from the battle pass - and then only 1 silver order every 10 or so rewards.

Achievements

Im sure he is including the achievements to artificially inflate his argument. Those are a one time bonus and many are out of reach for a long time

Everyone has access to the achievements, and it’s one of the fastest ways for a new account to earn silver orders. That’s not artificial, it’s worth considering.
If they made some of the achievements repeatable, they’d go a long way to solving the issue.

For one campaign one time. Its clearly bait. Him stating “oh I had 15 everything is fine” is just an inflation for a one time award

Ahh so this is the secret ob bobs countless silver orders. Well I wonder how much more silver orders this “first time award” will grant you over 15 but it should be apparent that when this “new account bonus” runs out anyone will end up at the same problem: no more fresh troops.

I’m currently stuck at Battle of Moscow campaign and can’t even fill my Submachine Gun squad with more assaulters than 2. That plus the fact that matches often get decided by the players with the better tanks/planes/squads/gear as the difference in effectiveness can be extreme this foot on the break of players progress is worsening the already unbalanced situation to an new extreme.

Not to forget guys: the same will happen with guns orders sooner than later. If that happens, starting a new campaign will be a nightmare of being stuck with stock troops forever - if Gaijin doesn’t change the income of silver orders accordingly.

If the weapons change like the soldiers did I’m done with it. The silver costs increase as we get new weapons too so the whales will have StG44s everywhere while new players are trying to get 2 starter SMGs or a few semi auto rifles

Oh, I know, and that they either have to concentrate achievement orders in a single campaign to be efficient is a big problem, but in a single campaign it helps. I’m not arguing against you man, I hate this update to.

I know lol but its just such a sleazy marketing tactic to hook people

I stated at the beginning that I created a brand new account. If a player can’t or won’t buy premium or BP, the only current way to progress in a modest way on multiple campaigns is to have separate accounts. Nothing that I wrote was to “artificially inflate” the reality of the situation.
The simple fact is that if someone wants to progress in multiple campaigns, they’ll need to purchase extras. But then it sort of appears that they don’t actually just want to play for free, they want to progress quickly for free. The Devs have obviously installed a paywall. To play multiple campaigns on one account….it seems the only way is to pay to progress

Paywall = P2W simple as that

I see what they are going for however…why cant they just give people standard troopers for free to fill squads? Specialist soldiers ok they cost silver, company makes money blah blah but there should be a way to atleast allow F2P people to fill squads or empty the damn squads not in use.

Well it is already said in the devblog that this change is planned to happen

“We will use the same approach for weapons here as well. Spare parts will be removed from Enlisted. Upgrades will be carried out using bronze weapon orders. […] So, we will remove weapon delivery for bronze orders, leaving it only for silver and gold.”

Now I don’t think that the developers are unreasonable. They went over the top and after realizing now have an opportunity to fix this by thinking about new ways for players to earn silver orders in order to counter this development of constant shortage. JustV2k@live already gave some ideas how F2Pers could aquire them and personally I assume they will also increase the amount earned in BP as well as in dailies for premium owners, to further boost these pay2progress salemodels.

Yet since we don’t know how the devs will handle this my guess is that at the moment it is the savest way to spend all your bronze weapon orders on random weapons. The article said that in the future you will be able to sell weapons you dont need for bronze orders. The question now is if it’s more wise to turn all the unwanted guns into spare parts before the change (it wasn’t said in the article what will happen with unused spare parts and if they get compensated) or to upgrade all your important weapons or to wait and simply sell all the unwanted guns once this change has been implemented.

Personally I’m still wondering why they made such a drastic change in the first place. The academy was super annoying and I’m glad it’s gone but the whole idea doesn’t appear to have been completely thought through.

Holy shit… how is this acceptable to anyone? Even for a F2P game having to have multiple acc’s for the various factions so that you can have a good time shouldn’t be acceptable

Edit: At least they are working on a solution… I think… Jesus I hope that solution will be the answer.
