Recruitment changes were too drastic

So with the latest big update we cannot get reinforcements anymore via bronze orders. I started playing the game only shortly before this change was introduced and despite even being a battlepass owner I’m totally stuck in progress now.

I started a new campaign theatre and cannot afford even ordinary riflemen to fill up the ranks of my growing squads, not to say specialists.

To most players longer being with the game and having amassed a lot of troops this is no big deal but as a rather new player I only wonder where I shall get all those required silver orders from??

Right now I would need likely around 15-20 to fill up my squads and the numbers only keep rising the more I play this game…

They’re still working on it. Well I hope. At least they should for their own good.

Why would you even need ordinary riflemen? You should have a bunch of free ones from filling out specialist positions in other squads.

I do agree that there is a need for more Silver Troop Orders (and especially a reliable way to get them instead of the daily lottery).

Same but i was lucky to waste most of mine, for troops for, but only enough for one side of the campaign.
I don’t see myself opening any other campaign atm, or in the future.

The silvers are not the problem for me, unless i start a new campaign, its the required bronze to lvl them, that is a pain in the bum for me atm,

because as you lvl up, and you take on new squads, you have to leave a minimum amount in maxed out squad, to house your new squads

Man they shouldn’t “still be working on it” tho if they’re going to do something like this. If they release such a drastic change like this to the game there needs to be something to supplement this. Without it, it just feels half assed and like it wasn’t even thought thru.

I kept seeing these comments and was curious, so I created a new F2P account.
After 4 battles I’m at level 4. As I gained squad points for upgrades, I skipped the nodes that increased squad size until I earned a silver order to purchase a soldier. So squad size remains small, but I am able to unlock nodes for increased XP, Backpack, soldier rank and so on.
After 4 battles, I have earned a total of 15 silver troop orders and about 30 bronze troop orders. I used 2 silver orders to purchase engineers after unlocking them in level 3.
I now have 3 infantry squads, each with an engineer and just unlocked the Bf 110 G-2.
At this point, I’ll just use the bronze orders to level up my soldiers and save the silver troop orders for when I unlock higher levels.
I have zero need to add more soldiers and of course and as I unlock higher campaign levels, one new troop type is included.
I plan to keep squad sizes small and swap new troop types for a T1 rifleman as I unlock nodes in squad upgrades.
You aren’t forced to spend the squad upgrade points, so I’m just going to bank them until needed.
If you plan ahead and are not impatient, you can build really strong rotating squads without coming close to running out of silver troop orders.

But what campaign was all this in? And I’m assuming that this didn’t account for silver orders across all campaigns? Bc ofc for one campaign you’ll surely have enough as I think I saw someone else say. But for multiple campaigns it doesn’t seem like there’d be enough.

You can’t have everything for free. That’s fact. And Elite BP and premium are not that much $$ if you want to grind multiple factions in multiple campaigns.

That… is complete bs my friend. In no game should it be like that for something as simple as a troop or even a weapon :man_facepalming: Even in a F2P game it should not be that way. We should have a better way to obtain these bloody silver orders. Even for F2P players so that the game remains entertaining/attractive to them.

Another Edit: This is especially bs tho considering what this does to the experience of other campaigns for players. It’ll just make shit more tedious and frustrating for absolutely no reason.

BS? How so? IMO, you are messing up by trying to have multiple large squads. You can keep the total number of squads quite small and there is zero reason to unlock the squad tree nodes to increase squad size. I only use 3 squads that I rotate because it is the most effective, even though I have premium and Elite BP.

Well it’s bs because it limits what any player can do with their squad’s composition for absolutely no reason other than Gaijin/Darkflow or whoever tf wants to be greedy and wants our pennies. With things like premium, a fucking BP, purchasable premium fucking squads, and purchasable gold, there is no reason to make soldiers more tedious to obtain without paying more for an Elite BP or whatever tf.

If a player wants a larger squad, let them be able to build that squad and see the faults in a larger squad composition. If a player figures out that a smaller squad is better, let them make that composition. But don’t limit me or any other player just because you want my/our shekels.(obv not talking about you here since you’re not gaijin lmao)

And you sound like a whale that has no problem shelling out cash whenever daddy Gaijin commands it  who’s a good little whale? Jokes aside tho, this isn’t an unreasonable stance to have man. It’s plain as day how bs it is to try and limit such an aspect of the F2P player’s experience. Especially in such a way as this.

I’m not looking at this from a “I SHOULD HAVE EVERYTHING WAH” stance. I’m looking at this from both a paid player’s standpoint, and from a game dev standpoint. Game design wise, this makes no sense for player retention. And from the F2P player’s perspective, this is just a bs way to try and strong arm them into buying the Elite BP or into buying premium or some shit.

It’s ok to call out this type of bs when you see it man. It’s not about “I want everything NOW”, it’s about trying to keep the game fair in some way that doesn’t artificially ruin the experience for no reason other than money. And of course, I know the game and the WORLD runs on money. I’m no child I know how things work. I just don’t suckle on cock when people tell me to do so :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey man, everyone grows at their own pace in life. No need for this constant “maturity” attack  It literally adds nothing of substance to your argument. If anything, you sound like the child here diverting to an irrelenvant point because you have no better points to make :open_mouth:

So i don’t know about all of you but i’ve always played this game as F2P and gotten immense enjoyment out of it for the time i played, with that i can’t deny,
however, since this last update the Devs have decided to completely screw over a large portion of their playerbase, myself included.

By the needless removal of the ability to purchase a random soldier with a bronze troop order and giving absolutely 0 ways of earning them unless you either A. Get lucky and i mean very lucky on a daily log in reward, B.
You happen to have 1 as an unlockable for you BP that day of which you can only get rewards once a day (i’ve gotten 2 so far from bp and my next is in 3 days)
OR you do what i did and make a completely new account to get all the “first time” rewards and play a new campaign.

I’m really just about done with this game, tired of playing the same maps on Berlin as the Axis just because i have grinded to lvl 12.
got the mp40 and mg34 and have absolutely no desire to go on a different campaign and attempt to do the same grind only this time with squads of 4 instead of upto 9.

This was a real half arsed update which was either not properly thought through and a genuine fuck up on the devs half being something that was over looked, or this is a genuinely malicious attempt to make the grind not just unbearable but actually remove all sense of progression completely.
And hope that forces players like myself who know what enjoyment you can get from this game to buy premium and gold.

Now i know what some of you will think or be saying, “oooh don’t be cheap and by the gold and fix your issue” but i will retort with for myself and many others that’s not a realistic, feasible
or financially available option, i played this game under the guise that this was a F2P game with a subscription option for those who enjoyed it
enough and had the ability to pay for it.

However the full experience was available for free at a slightly slower pace (Subs get 100% exp boost) allowing all those F2P players to get the same gear, levels, Full squads, soldiers tanks whatever, as the ones who paid for that sub (Premium squads excluded).

Now it could be a very easy fix and i will note some examples i have came up with as well as seeing others sharing similar ideas. 1) Simply restore the old system of purchasing random lvl 1 troops with bronze and specific lvl 2+ troops with silver. 2)
Make silver orders actually obtainable through game play, maybe for every 5-8k exp in a match would net you a silver order, randomly either weapon or troop. 3) the final idea would simply have some kind of conversion for Bronze into Silver at maybe a 6 or 10:1 rate.

Personally i think the first option would be the easiest to implement because you are literally returning the old system minus the academy but regardless, something needs to be done about the current state of the game for F2P players. Thank you for taking the time to read this slight rant and i hope you can provide constructive feedback in the comments.

But it wasn’t just lvl 1 you could get, u also got a chance to grab higher, ie, i jagged a tier 1,lvl 5 and a tier 2 lvl 5, was so happy.

There’s a lot of good points here. Requiring silver orders for troops has proven to be a mistake, as getting new and needed soldiers was one of the last things in the game that wasn’t completely monetized.

As it sits, with the recruitment changes, a game that was already pay to progress is toeing the line of pay 2 win.

We always could pay to skip the campaign grind
we always could pay to get the soldiers and weapons we wanted right away, and fully upgraded
hell, since they introduced the monetization, with enough money a guy could pay to skip all the progression mechanics, full stop.

Now, in addition to this, they’ve taken away the only reasonably efficient way F2P players had for getting troops to fill newly unlocked slots in their squads. Now, if they want to compete, they have to hope to earn enough silver orders to do so, but that process is slow and not guaranteed after the achievements are complete. Can speed it up by buying battlepass, sure, but that’s my point: People who don’t spend money in the game are now at such a disadvantage to people who spend basically any money at all that I’d say it’s fair to call a horse a horse, and Enlisted is Pay to Win.

Notably though, the Devs have heard us on this issue, and are already working on it.

Would it have been better if they didn’t make this mistake this way in the first place? Yeah, it would have, but I’m waiting to see what they do to correct it, with guarded optimism.

Where exactly have you earned this enormeous amount of silver orders from? I don’t earn a single one in 10 matches - not even when first on my team - always only bronze orders.

Only silver orders I get are from the battle pass - and then only 1 silver order every 10 or so rewards.

Achievements

Im sure he is including the achievements to artificially inflate his argument. Those are a one time bonus and many are out of reach for a long time
