I had opened a few of the gold chests, to see if there was a chance to get a decent squad. And upon opening them I had noticed I had gotten a Chauchat squad, which, I believe I already, had. I didn’t think much of it until I went back to reshuffle some of my USSR presets, and I noticed I now have two identical squads (albeit with different names), down to having the same unit descriptions.
Can anyone explain how can this happen? I guess the gold chest really did rip me off hahahaha
They’re not identical. Different regiment, different perk points.
But tbh, I have never heard of second chauchat squad.
Are we getting procedurally created gold squad duplicates now? 
I doubt so. I own chauchat squad for quite some time. And I didn’t have option to get second one in gold chest.
So unless this is some kind of plagiarism, there has to be older variant of the squad that hasn’t been in circulation for years.
But I have never heard of it. A only heard about copied premium squads that came with first wave of steam release.
One squad is a legacy squad from when premiums started with 5 stars by default
The other is the squad made after the change to premiums that made them start with 4 stars by default
