I think they should make system that change ammount of exp gained throught bombardment to “-” when your bombs kill someone after you died. For example: you nuke enemy tank and 15 infantry and gain 800exp but if in same situation you kamikaze - died - and then kill tank and 15 infantry you gained -800exp. And im hoping some day they will add anyhing similar to my suggestion.
Its annoying when you play as tank kill someone few times then he pick plane, suicide on you, and back to play infantry.
So, essentialy you are also going to punish not only perpetrators, but also new players who are still having hard time to manage controls and how plane behaves here.
Instead, devs should just revert the “bugfix” that allowed this in the first place.
So, all kills player achieves with a plane AFTER death will be counted in the log to “Enemy” (aka nonexistent player) and suicidal pilot simply won´t be credited for them at all (that means no exp and points for kills after crash).
It turned out to be a bug, but it was very effective countermeasure to kamikaze bombers who were very rare (limited to new players mishandling controls or someone really desperate to not care about kills or exp) before this was fixed.
To make this even more effective, bombs should have a bit longer time fuse (more time for suicidal pilots to crash and not get credited) and 250kg/500lb bombs should have their range reduced for gameplay purposes (so it will no longer have effectiveness of a nuke).
i dont want range reduced since only thing i can revenge enemy pilot who chases me hard.
but if they add gunners in plane bombers then sure.
I hate how OP planes are in the game! Personally, I wish I could select a no (or rarely) planes games. However, I like your suggestions.
problem is, 250kg/500lb bombs radius is just so huge (takes considerable amount of space in playable area), that even soldiers in the area that is seemingly unaffected are getting instant killed. And then there is spawn protection that is not effective against plane bombs which encourages people to bomb spawn and get loads of kills while not directly helping the team at all. (Gotta love people flexing their spawn bombing kills with “Git Gud” comments while in fact, they were most useless ones in the team)
Sometimes ago posted picture where i died while being something like 80+ or 90+ metres away from cap zone where bombs got dropped and still died.
So if dropped exatly at half way of enemy spawn and cap zone it has in theory possible to wipe whole enemy team’s infantry with single 250kg bomb.
Edit: Also if pilot dont crash his plane those bombs kills only enemies. Its just so stupid mechanic when friend drops bomb to cap zone while another is near it or inside. Every defender(or attackers) just die while friendlies dont even get shell shock and can cap
its just unbelievable how devs implemented that in game where whole idea is to capture points that typically require people to stack in one place
Two words. Test lobby.
Just limit the amount of vehicles a player can spawn with in a match. 1 attacker plane, 2 fighters, 2 tanks for example. If you suicide too many times, that’s it, infantry only for you for the rest of the match.
The best idea I’ve seen so far.
I mostly fly fighters, but having games without aircraft would be a welcome change. I’d enjoy that immensely; for me, flying in this game came out of necessity to combat the incessant rocket and bomb spam. Give me the option to play missions without planes, and I’ll be happy.
