why isn’t there a thompson, m1 garand or bar opition for the americans in the low tier pacific campaign? I don’t want johnson rifles and what not, just maybe the lowest bar and thompson get nerfed a little and put down into tier 2. not having access to the 3 primary weapons in pacific hurts the gameplay and credibility of the the game.
Fun fact;
Primary weapon of marines was springfield.
Especially in Guadalcanal where the campaign takes place.
I think the idea is that as the pacific expands past Guadalcanal and New Georgia we’ll get fights against Japan which would have historically featured the Garand, like Saipan, Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
nothing about the thompson or the BAR? You choose to nit pick the garand, the semi auto, over all of them…? Fine, Keep the M1 Carbine and give us an “Early War” Thompson and BAR. Also, please remember that America wasn’t technically in “Early War” so restricting them to “Early War” mechanics is wrong as well

Pacific is for BR 1 - 4 for US, you can easily take Thompson there.
hence the different weapon called the springfield USMC. What about all the other soldiers? The americans only used marines. The Marines only had 6 divisions of troops in the pacific compared to the Armys 22. Lets restrict everyone to the warfare style of the marines. got it
you go 3-4 tier with USA (should be western allies) you will most likely get dumped in normandy. basic match making from what i’ve seen so far
only used marines?
The Army also used the M1903. It was not until 1943 that enough M1 Garlands were available to replace all M1903s.
It seems logical that the US BR2 would be primarily equipped with M1903s.
i don’t know where you got your information but the m1 garand hit mass production in 1937. it was designed and created in 36 to replace the Springfield. the first mass production run of the m1 garand was even done in a springfield armory production line.
It is true that the Garland was first produced in 1937, but it started in September, and the production pace at that time was about 10 guns per day, In 1937, only 945 guns were produced.
Mass production was far from complete until the U.S. entered the war in 1940, and by 1941, as mentioned above, most soldiers were still using the M1903.
‘Gas-Trap’ Rifles: The Unknown M1 Garand
I don’t understand the logic of being realistic if you are in Tier 2 to begin with. why don’t you play in Tier 3?
its still considered considered a mass run if over 500 were made in a trial year for american weaponry. Been the same law since hoover lol
This game is a mixture of reality and fantasy, and for example, you can mass deploy AS44s to Soviet soldiers, which were not even mass-produced. Games have room for fantasy.
However, you advocate “reality” in the OP. Ignoring that context, it is contradictory to begin claiming that Garands were mass deployed early in the war, when only small numbers were being produced. You have discarded your own logic.
So, this suggestion thread is a failure.
If you want to bring Garand to the BR1-2 bolt action main environment, you should think of another reason and create a new thread.
BTW, why do you go to such lengths to justify putting Garland on BR2? Do you want to unilaterally attack bolt action users with semi-automatic rifles?
If you want to use Garland, I think you should allow the possibility that your opponent will bring out equipment of the same rank, such as Gew43.
You should play with BR3.
the ship for realism in the game sailed long ago,and with the merge the ship sunk, good luck getting darkflow to listen to historical concerns from the players
it’s because it’s stupid hard to play japan vs. USA tier 3-4. They will just throw you in normandy because it’s less searches. i just want to be able to play pacific maps with thompsons, BARS and Garands? why is that so hard to ask. and i would be willing to switch the m1 carbine (bigger clip, higher rate of fire, less recoil) for the garand. i just feel like putting the M1A1 Thompson (the first one in the tech tree) the M1918 BAR (the first BAR) and the M1 Garand should be able to be carried in most campaigns, especially with the MP38 AND MP40 being tier 2
They could just nerf the M1928 Thompson (Box mag) to be BR 2, there are like 6 or so Thompsons available to unlock, there is no reason that all of them should be BR 3 +.
They could also nerf the BAR 1918 (The one without the bipod) so it can be BR 2, so I could actually use an American LMG in low BR pacific and not have to use a British LMG.
My point exactly. the drum thompson and all the crazy ones can stay high tier. Just don’t get it
