Raport a Rally

So I just lost a game today, mainly because someone decided it would be a good idea to build a rally point in an attic, so none of our team’s bots could get out.

I’m requesting a way for players to shut down these rally points. I don’t really know how it should work yet, but it’s definitely needed. Feel free to chuck down some suggestions.

  • Yes
  • No way we should suffer
  • I don’t really care

Yeah please help I’m sick of this happening.

Wouldn’t it be better if they fixed the reason why they get stuck there? I do get your point, though it’s happened to me in Heilongjiang but I don’t know if that’s worse than the players who drop paratroopers onto big buildings and decide to set a rally point there.

I guess them can make it so that you can’t build a rally point with no easy access to the ground.

IF this were implemented there should be some consequences yes but we should try to encourage people to build good rally’s and punish those who deliberately build bad rally’s multiple times (not many players do this by the way but it does happen). in Tf2 this is called trollgineering (EG putting a teleported on a cliff), this is obviously a bit different but It’s still similar in the sense that it is team grieving report people for doing would be helpful.

Can’t you destroy friendly rallies by dismantling them? I’m positive it’s happened to me before. I build a rally in an area surrounded by friendlies and 5 seconds later it’s destroyed.

And when I turn around there’s a squad around where I built it. And no one spawned on it.

I‘m pretty sure you can’t dismantle other people’s rally points, just your own.

Maybe it’s just a weird glitch that happens from time to time, like how AI used to just randomly explode.

Nah you can’t, I tried unless it’s a key binding that I don’t have.

Usually when this happens i just warn my team not to use that rally point and after that its up to them.

I build and deploy my own rally points and spawn trucks.

Wait did u even deploy ur own rally points or spawn truck?

Well firstly I don’t have a mic to talk to my teammates so I can’t warn them. And secondly I was going to build a rally point with the squad that got stuck up there but they all got killed in a well placed tank shot( I don’t even know how the tank even knew I we were up there but anyway) but by the time I re deployed it was to late it salvate the situation so I deployed in my 9-men squad as a last push that failed because everyone else was in the f-ing attic .

there should at least be some warning for rally points like that(when building and when spawning on it). also they should just fix pathfinding so bots can move from those locations.

In one case we should be abble to destroy a friendly rallye point: when bots team are stuck.

There is certainly the limitation of not being able to build underwater, though it still works as long as the top of the rally point emerges from the water; another thing I experienced recently was someone in the Pacific deciding to build their rally point near those flames in the ruined houses, five riflemen dead for no reason.

In fact, the reason they can’t be destroyed is that, previously, many players on the team would destroy the rallies to build their own.

The best way to fix this shit is manly pathfinding for the AI, gaijin should stop focusing on graphics and fix the nodes in attics and other places the bot have trouble navigating at.

build a closer one and the bots will use those

Did you not read it all

You gave your bot order to dismantle your rally point

I’ve seen people doing this many times because they were trying to order bots to stay near the structure they just built
