always has been

Ranks only show how much time that person have spent playing during current season. I could create new acc buy Colt monitor/as-44 premium squad and be on the top of the leaderboard with private rank.

Ranks never did mean anything. What you are interested in is how long it took them to get to that rank, and since It doesn’t show that, its a useless metric for gauging player ability.

Rank doesn’t mean much? Most battle I played the team with more gold rank wins. There could be some exception like this match. But in general, rank do matter.

Agreed.

What you describing usually get countered with “they play more so they also naturally have better equipment”.

Sure, that’s fair. But look at all “Even Events” so far, where ppl actually get to play the same equipment.

Gold ranks top the leaderboard in 99 % of all battles and teams with the highest ranks win the big majority of the battles.

…arent events scored by having more participation? So being on top would go hand in hand with having high rank just because they are both measurements of time invested

i’m not talking about the overall leaderboard but all individual battles.

The more time you’ve invested in the game, the better you should be.
So yes, besides better equipment, player with higher ranks are usually better players.
But oc, not true all over the board.

From the last “Even Event”

I definitely agree with that, all things being equal (never are though)

I just cant believe most of the players in those screen on both sides have engineers points (assuming rallys)…I’m more accustomed to seeing 0 LOL

Lol, yeah.

I have seen a ton of high ranked players performing worse than bots.
You gotta ask yourself some serious questions when that happens.

It would mean more if it was more than 300 poor points and with another system of taking points
