Random little details i feel should be implemented

On Heinz Kollman for instance from the golden Normandy troop drop. He has an image of a Knights Cross beside his name. It would be neat if these troops actually displayed their decorations in battle on uniform. I also think it would be neat for all medals to be displayed, i was just using that as an example. One more small addition if not already is the potential addition of SS units. Plus one thing that irritates me with these supposed Historically Accurate games, is censorship of imagery. If someone gets offended by a swastika, I’m sorry, but I don’t think they should be playing a game based on a time period in which the symbol was almost everywhere. The Iron Cross is still used today, and if that is the reasoning, people could really start pointing their fingers at modern day Germany.

A ranked mode would be nice. Group up with people that play to win/the objective

Yeah that as well, thank you for adding. Even the slightest amount of coordination can make a massive difference.

The problem isn’t people accepting the swastica in a ww2 game, but country laws that are against it.

I assumed it was mostly for streaming, as twitch is hyper sensitive.

fair enough, but still how soft do you have to really be about it. Its in the past, allow the images to remind us that we dont want that to happen again. (Not you yourself, but where the laws are in place.)

You can’t rely on geofencing images, what with VPN’s and various other things around the 'net.

I wasnt thinking it should change based on where you are located, i was just thinking it should be a part of the game. Even the totenkopf. Like come on, even damn pirates use the skull and crossbones.

I agree with the swastika thing. What they’re doing is falsifying history! I’m far from being a nazi, but I do insist on historical accuracy! All they’re gonna achieve with this (not just with this game, but with the general practice within the video game industry) is that in a few decades people will not know what that symbol stood for in the 1930s-40s.

I also forgot to mention the hypocrisy of censoring swastikas, but having the game full of five pointed red stars and hammer & sickle symbols. Millions of people were murdered under those symbols as well as swastikas, but no one ever seems to care or be offended by them…

The deaths head was around WAY before the nazis. Just like the Iron Cross and the Knights cross.

very fair point thank you for adding

It’s true. If what Gaijin who is to put in the pocket the “historical and appreciators of reality” and the “generation of crystal / crybaby for everything”. what they should do is put an optional filter. The normal one to be “Realistic” and the other “glass world” or something like that.

Ther is no hypocrisy - there are plenty of places in the world where various soviet symbols are forbidden too - as usual it depends which particular brand of evil you suffered under. Heck there’s even a wiki page on it if you could be bothered looking it up!

Some places ban the symbols of BOTH fascist and communist disctatorships.

People who get upset that other people DO understand history and the evilness of various regimes, and refuse to acknowledge that they have good reasons for doing so, are the a-holes here.
