Placing rally points 35-60m from capture points steals from the realism of the game. Soldiers spawn and there is a short invincibility. This is why I believe rally points should either only be allowed on one half of the map, or the distance should be at least 100m or greater. That way opposing forces can come from their side or areas that make sense and I think this will be balanced/more fun.
For example, in a conquest game, it’s very easy to place rally points next to the far away site to force the other team to defend their close point, and they lose pressure at B. I’ve been doing this since closed beta, but I feel that it ruins the realism of the game. Sure, there flankers but that doesn’t mean they should come out of thin air very close to capture points. Seeing soldiers pop up like that is strange if you ask me
There is no spawn protection anymore since a few weeks. Since they removed that the rally points are in no way broken. They even increased the block range to 20m, so that if any enemy is within 20m no one can spawn.
Rally points give a tactical ellement to the game which is really great.
In my opinion, the distance of ‘block range’ and ‘rally points’ from capture zones should be increased. If this is the case, rally points shouldn’t be allowed to be set behind enemy lines, because it doesn’t make sense that people pop out of a house or the ground right behind the enemy lines. If this unrealistic quality is considered “tactical” then I don’t know. In a game sense it is tactical, seems unfair to me though.
I already know they’re mostly ai. Unless you’re saying some squads are 100% ai. Anyways, by abusing rally points the way I explained in the OP, I’ve been able to level up quickly. Like I said, it ain’t fair.
