Japan’s primary opponent, the USA, has two jet powered planes they are able to cycle which are the F80 and Meteor.
Japan should receive the R2Y2 v1 jet in order to counter balance this.
The major benefit of the R2Y2 jet is that it has significantly more ammo capacity in its cannons than the Kikka. 600 total rounds compared to the Kikka’s 100 total rounds. The issue with the Kikka is that it can run out of ammo quite fast, but this vehicle wouldn’t have that issue.
Battle Rating (BR)
The R2Y2 is a jet powered aircraft and should be BR5 only.
Type
The R2Y2 should either be an event or premium vehicle.
Availability
This vehicle shouldn’t be in the tech tree so Japan doesn’t have 2 jets in the tech tree compared to everybody else. Because it’s an improvement to the Kikka, it should also be more limited than the Kikka too.
Gameplay Purpose & Role
The R2Y2 would be an alternative vehicle to the Kikka which wouldn’t be limited by small ammo capacity. It would balance out the fact that USA can bring two jet powered planes into battle while Japan cannot.
It’s main role would be that of a fighter aircraft like the Kikka.
