Quit wasting the use of suggestions

While I can’t judge since I’ve been caught requesting for some goofy items in suggestions (I still want my Belgian Chauchat), I’m simply tired of seeing people use the Suggestion tab to do nothing but complain and give no solution. It’s no wonder devs don’t take in half the stuff we recommend.

They don’t read it anyway

Well they definetly aren’t going to read it if people just keep complaining.

It kinda seems like this post is just a complaint without any constructive suggestions

Not true, helpers and alpha testers go through the forum often and recommend the most popular stuff.

But its in the mess room.

So they don’t read it, they just get passed some which helpers think are good.
So they read your suggestions

Half? Thats rich, pretty sure the Devs doesn’t give a shite about anyone but the CC and shills

Imagine someone complaining about your product and trying to tell you how to do your job while having no clue how to actually do your job and have no idea what you´re already working on. I´ve heard game devs be pissed about that.

Also your profile pic disgusts me, console peasant.

How many likes do you need to get a suggestion forwarded? :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s actually not true.

The helpers, moderators, and testers sift through it and forward useful suggestions and data to the devs.

He literally just said helpers and alpha testers go through the forum often and recommend the most popular stuff

often =/= even they won’t read everything

And who know what metric is most popular stuff. How often is it spammed? Was there shitstorm in thread so it had 200 responses?

Devs are reading suggestions like us constantly

From my experience, and @James_Grove feel free to correct me if I am wrong here:

Suggestions that are well written and formatted decently (in other words easy to read and not just a pile of text), are often times easier to debate on, and very frequently read/ commented on by the helpers if it seems to be an interesting, unique, or balanced suggestion.

Often they will especially look into posts that have a lot of likes, not necessarily a lot of comments. Shitstorms, rants, and trolling sadly occurs pretty often so comments is not a good metric to determine popularity, but LIKES are.

So in summary, they do look through at least the majority if not all suggestions, but they do pay very close attention to those that are:

  • Easy to read
  • Not full of ranting
  • Descriptive about what is being suggested
  • WHY it is being suggested, if it is a change and not just something new
  • Has good, respectful debate and conversation
  • Has at least an above average number of likes
  • Is reasonably balanced

Once they not just read it, but think its something agreeable, they highlight it for further review by the dev team.
