M2 ironsight may not be the best but when you have it at least 5 stars with the reduced vertical recoil perk, and you can see pretty fine and fire up to mid range fine. Its a great gun, just takes some practice and setup to really get most of its use.
You may be right, but it takes a lot of time, XP and orders to reach that point.
There’s something I forgot to mention about some bolt actions that might make them more useful than semis in certain situations… some have attached boom tubes. I don’t know if many people use them…But I do, with great effect. “Oh I see you below charging my building with your squad full of smgs to take poor me down… POOOF… EHEHEHEHE”
When you kill some cursed bunnyhopper and his 3 bots with slow to use rifle grenade launcher that makes you nearly defenceless

Except bots don’t use grenade launchers at all, they only use the rifle part like any bolt action 🤷
And bunny hopers are mostly assaulters with smgs
