SUBJECT: Questions regarding new paratrooper squads

I just tried out the new Axis paratrooper squad in the Pacific. I was able to select my drop zone quite easily; however, I have the following questions:

  1. Once I’m in the plane, is there any way to change the drop zone?

  2. I had no idea how to open my chute: There are no instructions on the screen, and I couldn’t find any controls in the game—other than how to open the paratroopers drop box.

I would appreciate some insight here.

To the devs: Could you please make these commands available / visible on the screen when you’re in the airplane. It would be extremely helpful.

Your soldier can move in another place during the landing, but all ai soldier drop where is the para-crate

On the screen there is a big message telling you to press spacebar to “open the parachute”

Re: Q1: When you say, “Your soldier can move in another place during the landing,” do you mean I can control the direction of my parachute by using the “directional” keys?

Also, thanks for the information regarding the location of the drop box.

Re: Q2: Thanks for this information, as well. I looked all over the screen and apparently just didn’t see it. Where is this command located in the “controls” menu? I would like to remap it. Again, I looked for it but didn’t see it.

Yes, open the parachute soon after the drop and you can move in an another near place using wasd, but the rest of your squad still drop in selected location

Yes the key for open the parachute can be changed in the control menu, you need only find it, i dont know in what sub-menu is however, im mostly fine with the enlisted control so i dont checked all of them

I looked in the “controls” menu again. It’s not there. Probably just something overlooked by the devs since this is so new. Hopefully it’s something they can fix sometime soon.

DEVS: Could you please add a control that is remapable in the “controls” menu to change the “open parachute” command from the spacebar to another key? Thanks!

I tried using the spacebar—as gastanofrizzi suggested above to open my parachute. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work. I’m guessing it’s because I have remapped most commands on my keyboard for the game.
