Question Regarding Access to Enlisted In-Game Assets

I would like to kindly ask the community for guidance regarding the possibility of accessing or extracting in-game visual assets from Enlisted for documentation and educational purposes.

I am currently working on a comprehensive guide / wiki project dedicated to the game, with the aim of providing clear, well-illustrated, and accurate information to players. For this reason, I am seeking ways to obtain high-quality images of in-game elements such as soldiers, weapons, soldier ranks, military insignia, service medals, technology trees, squads, and related interfaces.

I am aware that these assets exist within the game files and that modders are often able to view or extract them. However, I must clarify that I do not have a background in computer science, programming, or data mining. I am therefore looking for explanations that are as accessible as possible, or for recommendations of tools, methods, or workflows that a non-technical user could realistically follow.

More specifically, I would appreciate advice on:

  • Whether it is possible to view or extract these assets directly from the game files.
  • Which tools (if any) are commonly used by the community for this purpose.
  • Whether there are official or semi-official repositories, developer resources, or community archives where such images are already available.
  • Any limitations, legal considerations, or best practices I should be aware of when using these assets for non-commercial, informational purposes.

Any help, references, or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Even a general explanation of how modders usually approach this would already be extremely helpful.

Thank you very much in advance for your time and assistance.
