The other day I ran past an enemy ammo chest and once again could not help but wonder if I would be able to use it to fill up an enemy gun that I picked up (funny enough I never seen an enemy ammo chest when I have one of their guns, so never could test this myself). Has anyone ever tried? It would make sense to be able to do so, would it not?

yeah that why when making ammo crate you should keep in mind what weapon you are using since if you drop let say a RMN 50 or RD44 then i will definitely take that and use it against you.
that is also why i keep my RMN 50 on my second slot instead of my primary so people cant steal it lol

lol that is actually like back in “Heroes and Generals” (if you happen to know that old title) where everyone used to place some crap weapon in primary slot (like the shovel!) and the good one in the secondary, so if you got killed they could not loot your good weapon! I did not realize this works here too (because I usually opt for the backpack option).

i used to play that but i didnt get too far since i have a bad laptop
i love playing the specific class mode tho even if it mostly bot it was really fun
i dont remember if that was the mode tbh that just how i remember it

It sure had issues but I liked the “mix” they had, with the strategic map and that one could outfit units and then have them actually take part in the fighting (so one was more invested in the units one practically supplied to the fight). That was a good concept. Shame they closed it down.

Honestly i like their map and how big they are. It kinda immersive in a way when you dont know where enemy could be and you could flank and stuff

Exactly, it was that mix between a big map, the strategy game mode, moving around units and then, once they arrived or met the enemy, and then the FPS mode, having the opportunity to actually join the fight in person. So strange nobody else has picked up that concept so far.

They could pick up alot of things from HnG the whistle, the pre match chat, the map designs. I played the shit out of HnG had a gang of people too!

Oh bloody hell yes, played it way too much myself - shame it is gone as the concept (strategy + FPS) was good, despite everything.
That game had superior team play for some reason. Some of the best group play fun ever. We would trade planes and tanks, go full melee as 3 squads locking down a building terrorizing people. The line concept really enhanced the game because the focus could be in a totally different area miles away. I think its maps were awesome.
