Question about developers for the game

Have any of the devs shot any of these guns irl to understand what it is like shooting the gun? I get some of the guns are not possible to get your hands on and shoot, but I know a lot of the guns are available.

They are doing a splendid job by coming up with good firing sounds for different guns in the game. The bolt action sounds are some of the best which I have heard in any game. Even better than Hell Let Loose in my opinion. For now, I want them to keep working on the reloading animation as well as adding improved textures for some of the guns out there.

I fully agree that the sound of the 50 cal MGs in allied planes is terrible.
Surely not authentic or even close.
Axis planes MGs sound much better.
I thought before about making a suggestion to improve the allied MGs in planes.
I have seen old YT videos in which the MGs sounded better.

i just don’t think they have call of duty or even battlefield levels of money to not just sample every gun but create sound libraries

It doesn’t matter how the weapon fires in real life. It’s a game. Every game has its own conventions. In real life, the Fedorov assault rifle jams even before the first reload. And in machine guns, the barrel would have to be changed after using one ammunition load.

I was more worried about how the devs understand how it is to control an actual gun and not just by going by what seems to balance the playing field. This is also important as well though. Every time I would shoot the Jap anti-tank rifle, I could feel my teeth shake. Almost as if someone had punched them out of my mouth.

It does, or else you would have COD Vanguard-tier weapons. But I am talking about the devs actually having the creds to back up their decisions about the fire rates of guns, controllability of guns, and looking down the sights of the guns. This way, they would have no excuse for why the guns don’t have the controllability, fire rate, and correct view of looking down the sight of the guns in real life.

More worried about gun play

Gun play my bro

That is a valid point. But again at the end of the day this is a video game. Games like Hell Let Loose which focus on realism do it perfectly though. But I believe that is not the main selling point of Enlisted. Again if you want to experience some real kick you can try out the mgs in Stalingrad. They are a lot harder to shoot on the move plus it costs you stamina to aim down the sight with them.

Which is why nobody uses them.

MGs, save from the models that can be used as makeshift assault rifles, are ill treated in game, mainly due to ever-bugged bipod mechanics. Stalingrad adds salt to their wounds in the form of nonsensical recoil.

Yeah. The mounting mechanic needs to be fixed. Same goes with climbing through windows or using ladders.

They better stop saying historical world war 2 shooter in their ads then lol

Yeah. The devs left that debate long ago when they introduced the Jumbo in Normandy or the RD 44 in Berlin.

MFW devs add F4U Corsair in the next big update for “Balancing purposes”:

That is a candid moment right there.

I m not a dev.

Yet I shot and own Alot of ww2 guns.

Whats your point or question?

And known for having downwards recoil.

At this point, I just want my bullets to shoot straight and the US soldiers to stop shooting semi-auto rifles like they have arthritis in their fingers. Is that not too much to ask from the developers?

Yeah. Can’t miss the magical dispersion as well.
