Question about br

Not at all.

A ton of ppl here constantly say they still use bolt actions riflemen even as top dogs vets. I’m one of those and I’m not alone. Because they are fun.

You generalize things. I know you’re one of those welcoming this new change without questions asked, but it doesn’t mean that EVERYONE likes 100% of it. There’s pros and cons.

Warthunder there is no level matchmaking, tbh level matchmaking will kill this game

So im glad we have BR system, i prefer low bolt games than stg44 every game yes

yes i am welcoming it cause current MM was terrible. grinding new campaign was always terrible cause you always had shit soldiers, shit weapons and shit vehicles against fully grinded veterans. i like bolt action, but they just dont have carry capacity when you need to fight in CQC. and that is most of the game if you play for win condition.
that is why BR MM will actually make bolties viable for solo players.

Hate to break it to you mate, but @Conscript_Joe is right. You are going to have to level against Vets with max upgraded troops (perks)and rifles (Vets that are used to fighting against full auto spam with rifles). Also Autos will still be spammed, just the ones available at that BR

I will be there, not because I want to seal club, but because I love early war weapons, vehicles and gameplay…just unfortunate.

As for MM, Id be for it if it wasn’t the usual crap system of averages (1 Ace and 9 noobs vs 10 average joes)…In my experience those matchups are way less fun than no MM at all. but that’s just me.

i dont care about that as long as there is somewhat similar weapons. there is big difference when you are against tiger and stg44 or against pz3 and mp34.

Not as big as might you think. I recently re started Normandy, the only campaign I put aside due to too many bombs back in the day.

I’m low lvl. I use Bren, I use garands, Springfields and grease guns: I’m low lvl and don’t have tanks to face tigor and panthor head on…

Yet, I dominate and end up top of the leaderboards with always 50+ kills more than the previous guy, unless he too is a vet like me. And trust me, I do face the dreaded stg44, mg42 and fg42. But I’m used to those from Berlin, and the Springfield is ridiculously fast to aim with.

The tool, doesn’t make the skill. This new mm will only ensure I slaughter newcomers on a daily basis, or sometimes face a veteran on the other side with similar taste for early weaponry.

It works more or less for WT. Won’t do much for Enlisted, and certainly won’t save the new guy. A agree a MM is needed. Just, that this equipment based br is sand in the eyes: it won’t help newcomers in the slightest, just make them believe it does.

I mean:
Df: “We will remove Mannlichers from shop and tech tree.”
Joe: (Buys 30… THIRTY of them and max star them.)

This should be a good indicator already…

I will give bolties to every soldier just to slaughter newbies :smiling_imp:

normandy now is entirely different from few months ago. now it is actually playable as allies. when i grinded it more than half a year ago, it was full of german vets just roflstomping allies. btw had 80% WR as normandy axis (first campaign i maxed) and 50% on allies (second campaign i was grinding just after axis). and was mostly on top of scoreboard for both campaigns. equipment also matters when you go against veterans.

i am not against skilled players vs newbies. newbies can also be skilled, just as veterans can be utterly shit. i am for having matches at same ground. and that means no more invulnerable tigers when you field stuart, or having to contend against AR that has great close and mid range performance and it can be usable on longer ranges against smg that is more or less close range weapon with some usability on mid range.

also BR MM will bring back vehicles that you dont use cause you unlocked better version. tell me when was the last time you used pz2, t60 or stuart after you unlocked pz4, t34 or jumbo? some people may use them if they have extra vehicle slots, but almost all f2p players bring their best vehicle if they want to win.

Yesterday. I still use my Rhino for fun. And my main vehicle is the light tank Chaffee. Sure, old vehicles will be usable more often.

But it will be boring as f*** because there won’t be any surprises anymore. When I know there’s a tigor, you bet I’m careful with my tiny tank. BUT IT’S FUN! It’s thrilling. I don’t NEED to be automatically able to take on any opponent face to face: I improvise, and it’s honestly what I believe made me become a, dare I say, good player.

When I see noobs always charging ahead in tanks, expecting themselves to be invulnerable and able to take the entire enemy team on, it makes me genuinely sad… new mm will cater for those. Ppl who are afraid to think or make any effort to improve.

Matches, will be more boring.

if maps werent so restricting and people werent camping in gray zone then low level vehicles would be actually viable. lots of maps just doesnt allow flanking and that is only way to outplay high level tanks that you cant penetrate frontally. so when you have 1 vehicle slot 99% of players wont be taking low level vehicle. having low level vehicles in their squad rotation is now premium players privilege.
