On Moscow, anyone find difficulty in killing infantry? Think something is off with them, as I shot direct and right next too, and little or no splash kills? On Normandy seems fine, on Berliner ok too?
Well, the guns on tanks in Moscow are generally smaller, so of course you can’t pack as much explosive into those small shells.
If I compare the performance of HE shells of the Puma and the T-50 for example, they’re pretty similar.
Yeah it’s a bit of a disappointment, if you’re used to the beefy guns of Berlin and Normandy, but on the other hand it’s also a nice change of pace, if you’re playing as infantry.
Use the pz4. It’s made to counter infantry, it has a 75mm canon (more explosive filler)
Think of the pz III canon as anti tank focused canons: very precise, like scalpels. But their shells aren’t made to “explode” alot.
So if I have the E, only use AP rounds not HE?
Heck no - the AP is even worse vs infantry!!
Both the 37mm guns have bad HE - the Stuart at Normandy is even worse. That’s what they were in real life - less HE filling than a hand grenade, but thicker walled shells that take more effort to burst.
MG’s are you best anti infantry weapon.
I was talking about against Tanks, I know if allied, I can chose HE and make Pumas go boom What about Against allied armour? HE or AP against Sherman or Stuarts?
That wasn’t very clear!
We are talking about hte Pz3E in Moscow - not shermans! AP is always best for the Germans - most of their guns are small in Moscow, so light HE loads do not do much even against BT-7 armour!
As allied it is only 75mm HE that works vs Puma - 37 doesn’t - and there’s no simlar situation the other way around - very thin armour facing 75mm HE. Stuarts have significantly more armour than Puma’s so seems unliely even 75mm would be of much use - but hey - try it and see.
It’s a 37mm cannon, same as a Stuart. They really don’t have viable HE, less TNT than a frag grenade if I understand correctly.
