Been using it for a while now and it has to be worst thing I have ever used, even Pz III performs better.
Machine gun shoots 5 meters to the side where you’re aiming (while not being angle restricted)
Due to it being really low even smallest obstacle blocks the shot
Hill climbing ability is horrible too, you get stuck on everything
Armour is broken, sometimes you easily block shots from 76mm, other times 75mm pens you frontally
Not even mentioning ammunition capacity, you run out of shells 5 minutes into the match. Especially MG rounds
Only thing I find decent about it is it’s gun, it’s quite good (still can’t pen jumbos frontally tho )
So, is it just me not knowing how to use it, or it’s bad on it’s own?

it looks wierd that this is on later lvl than tiger , like if they forgot adding tank destroyer to axis during 2 years and all of sudden : you know what ? here you are
these kind of tanks could have been inbetween the campign levels not on late lvl
guess nobody could have expect miracles from this panzer
guess they’re running out of ideas, sadly. for now, there’s literally no reason to buy the pz 4 70 since you can just buy the jagdpanther instead which is actually useful
normandy , but the game is quite a mess now
in normandy you have only one radio squad while in moscow you have two
in stalingrad and pacific you get 4 star everything when you buy, in other campaigns you dont
i dont think 40 lvls will be enough as they initially planned , if they initially planned anything … we still dont have halftracks , or medics everywhere
yet they ask 50 bucks and more for squads , as some kind of donation to game development without guarantee they will ever finish it
Well. The Americans have the same issue too by giving them a td designed for flanking in the possible worst campaign for flanking after the 76mm Sherman, let alone the Jumbo. M10 is arguable also way too high.
This is only because of SF rifle guns because they need us to grind more squads because not giving it to existing squads is too much to ask for.
Devs gave up their driver class concept since bikes never made it outside of Tunisia. They will probably just “reskin” the Assaulter I squads which they can.
It will be as I am not sure wtf they wanna give us. Moscow is copy+paste and I don’t really know what they wanna give us in SG since the best stuff is already given. Pacific is also not easy even after they had the smart idea to merge almost four years into one campaign unless they are ready to give the Yankees Jumbo-level of shit.

This tank is for a tank connoisseur. Someone who is about the tank experience and not out to impose some meta on the enemy. I think the Tiger should have been slotted here personally. A true tanker accepts the challenge of this PZ4 along with rocking the StuG

Ofc your impact on the overall game is way less than in a Tiger, but if you have a competent team, why not?
I think it’s hell of a fun to use.
Never been frontally penned, only taken out by planes and one sneaky Sherman flanking me.
Should however been replaced with the Tiger in the progression
Pz IV is overall garbage, it gets penned in the front by almost all Allied tanks and struggles to pen same level tanks or even some lower ones.
Especially in Stalingrad where it gets mauled by T-34s like nothing, I really hate driving any and all variants of the Pz IV, it’s just a letdown of a tank in almost every campaign save for maybe Tunisia.
