Since the Pz III N got moved to BR 3 a long time ago now
I guess we got enough data about him in BR 3 to judge
I would like to hear your thoughts about him is it still viable or another one who serving for collection
For me It still belong with it brother Pz III M in BR 2 with some reload nerf for example
Fortunatly we still have the Pz III Stalingrad for the support role even if it’s far way the III N
- Still belong to BR II with minor nerf
- Fine at BR III
- Was Fine at BR II
I mean it’s an HE slinger and it does it’s job well…Could use actual HE rounds, though.
At br 3 it’s mostly is function unlike when It was BR 2 you could deal with “most” of the tank too

I use it over Panzer IV H and J, because it also cant take out KV1 reliably, so the faster reload gives more chances at hitting something that matters.
Also its mobility, reload speed and top mounted MG is an increadibly combination, I unironically bring them even to BR5 because of their amazing infantry support.

It is one of the best BR3 tank in the game.
The HEAT round can kill any tank at BR3 and the fast ROF allows it to melt infantry. It’s armor not particularly good, but other BR3 german tanks aren’t in much better state either.
Imo these tanks are not great because they are held back by their lower fire rates and their AP isn’t good at actually one shooting enemy tanks.

It’s regarded as one of the best all around gun in warthunder from what i know as well… but there might be different ammo

It has really good pen indeed, but the post pen damage is terrible (20g of TNT is very small), particularly when you consider the fact that III N has twice the fire rate.
I would say that the Pz IV serie are better with medium/ long range fight unlike III N wich you have mostly an close gameplay due too the HEAT ammo and the player experience with it .
Still using the SIG 150 and Pz IV/kugel in BR 3 most of the time ^^
I do remember one shotting everything with 7.5 L48 back when I was playing warthunder, but in Enlisted specifically KV1 can survive so many shots, that its ironically easier for Panzer IV to take out IS2, than KV1.
Whens the last time I have seen T34 STZ? 80% of the time I face KV1 when playing against BR3 Soviets, 10% its people playing with regular T34 because they haven’t unlocked proper tanks yet and 10% its KV2 or T34 57. KV1 is OP, and amounts of times it is used is proof of that.

Too many kv1 and shermans, for some reason its HEAT shells not reliable. compared to pz4H its just doesnt worth it, unless enemy has no air superiority and tank players.
Not to mention unreliable HE mechanic in this game, almost half of the shoots does nothing even with sturmpanzer… So its better to use pz4h.
The HE is way too unreliable sometimes it’s a pain with long reload tank
waiting for nothing … that’s why fast shooter like 3N are okay for that
