SOULTION: You could make a store and have a stock system that refills every week or ever Sunday,Wensday, and Saturday anything basically, and you have a certain amount of each item and if all of them get bought out the players would have to wait for the next week or half a week to get the items from a new shipment. Obviously this Could be balanced but that comes with time.
I don’t know about you but the idea of loot boxes is a horrible idea at least for me. it’s essentially gambling with extra steps and it might do what it supposed to " give you an item" but it just slows down progression I have way too many extra troopers and kar98k rifles, I know the academy and disassemble feautrue remedy this but the rng is something I don’t want to see in this game for items. PEOPLE DON’T LIKE THE GRIND in any game for that matter introducing loot boxes with rng pushes people away and makes the grind so much longer. For one if I want an assault unit being a soldier obviously I should be able to recruit just him the rng aspect of the troop orders just slows down the game and weapons are worse, i should be able to get a specfic gun or item for a certain price if you can’t then it shouldn’t be called troop and weapon orders as your not ordering anything specific,
I fully agree with you but I believe they can improve this realism by adding a sort of item selection ,like real life during battles the soldiers lost and broke equipment as well as being wounded in combat from that the player could choose what types of items he wants to receive so that he can assemble the squad he want or upgrade some kind of equipment he want
I think the broken equipment or lost equipment system is a very dependant on Rng and I think this game needs the least of this but the idea is intresting
I think the resupply for each week is very interesting but I really want to be able to select what type of resupply item I want for my squads and the itens don’t need to be specific for that kind of squad the should be universal
I’m not with you on the solution provided but agree about the lootbox system (Logistics), the problem doesn’t have not only do with the lootbox system (Logistics) being bad itself but that fact that its the backbone to the entire progression system in the game. Having an inconsistent backbone progression system is really bad coupling it with the already (intentionally set) slow progression give a bad taste in the mouth.
To me the monetization system they are going for is literally clear & what they are doing is just final bugs left over & minor tweaks to progression rate & heading to release. I have a literal no faith in them changing the plan without an explicate word from the lead designer himself.
Well I just employ logic, I mean I want to be right but I won’t be one bit surprised if it happen to be the case. It’s really hard to stray from it if they are to release the game even in early access this year.
The more to it is that with each maintenance we aren’t seeing different progression concepts being used, in fact I started seeing this back then with the open alpha tests, to see that they settled on the lootbox system (Logistics) from the last open alpha test just says too much about testing different concepts.
Unless we hear from the lead designer back or the development team & have an interaction with them directly (basically getting words from them) I hardly see any change to the direction they are heading with the game either progression or monetization systems (they are tied to one another).
i think we could greatly benefit from some kind of control.
Either things like “rifle/SMG/heavy weapon/equipment” crates which would only drop one of the weapons you unlocked in a certain class, or maybe get options like with the perks, or simply buying things directly with the orders, where the price of a weapon would correspond to its rarity (0 stars = 1 order, up to 4 star being 5 orders)
I would avoid RNG as the backbone progression system at any cost, regardless of how it made the fundamentals of the problem such system create will still be there. I would push for us seeing the first open alpha test system again when it comes for weapons to test it & identifying its problems or how it could be made consistent & better. I couldn’t recall how you get infantry though
To people that don’t know the first way of unlocking weapons was with the squad points in the yellow tree, there was just one line with different equipment placed in it. I would at least hope for another idea to test other than a lootbox system (Logistics).
Ingame currency can be used to afford
→ New weapon (Only common weapon affordable)(Since weapon can be shared/given to any other infantry, it price can be little expensive) & Modification (Scope, Silencer, Bipod, Bayonet…)
Also to restrict all players from having all the best guns & modification, affordable Weapon & Mod are basics, better guns & modification can only be obtainable from lootbox)
→ Recruit new solider (Only basics infantry & class) (other ranking would be from lootbox)
→ Vehicle/Aircraft (Since i dont think Enlisted would be implementing resupply/repair, price may be high)
→ Coordinating Artillery Strike
→ Deployable AT/AA Guns (To restrict players from spawncamping infantries from any kind of direction)
Loot box idea is interesting, but make it a drop as in Player’s Performance during a game (Which weapon gear can be dropped along), daily rewards and etc.
make it unpurchaseable, but tradable between players, gajin would not be able to earn profits from selling loot box, but still able to earn profits from the market trade fees.
as such, the “loot box” will no longer be the same as other game’s loot box as casino-like mechanism that can be lead to being banned.
if enlisted is to remove “lootbox” all the squad upgrade, workshop upgrade idea would be a waste tbh
hmm, remove he premier currency only lootboxes, as this can cause issue regarding gambling
and instead, add a feature where your performance in battle, gets you a box that opens and then has a random chance of giving you whatever item is in the box, much like what they do in war thunder with the rp and talisman box after matches, perhaps adding a coupon discount in it too.
this will not only result in more people playing, but the discounts/coupons you can achieve will result in money being spent.
this cannot and wont be seen as gambling as there is no money involved at all, only time, its a random box with a random item.
