Prioritize steering improvement for Sd.kfz.251X, optimize maneuverability of all half-track APCs

Here are my adjustment proposals:

First and foremost, enhance the in-place steering ability and terrain passing capability of sdkfz. Meanwhile, moderately boost the steering efficiency and track adaptability of M3 and other half-track APCs as well.
  • Yes, it is essential to strengthen and restore their historical performance.
  • The data from War Thunder is not credible at all.
  • This has nothing to do with me.

I suggest optimizing the in-place steering performance and terrain adaptability of M3 half-tracks, other half-track vehicles and the sdkfz in Enlisted. The actual test results on flat ground show huge differences in their steering performance.

  1. M3 Half-track: It has decent overall mobility. Only slightly affected by ground friction, it can complete full in-place spins smoothly. It boasts the best steering among these vehicles, yet still needs further improvements.
  2. Other half-track vehicles: They are more affected by ground resistance, stalling intermittently while turning. Though in-place steering is achievable, their turning speed is much slower than that of the M3.
  3. sdkfz\1——\9: It suffers from the worst steering issues. Even on perfectly flat ground, it starts turning extremely slowly and nearly grinds to a halt after turning about three-quarters of a circle. It is barely able to steer normally on rough and bumpy terrains.

The awkward driving feel is just like repeatedly hitting the gas and brake clumsily, which severely ruins the actual combat experience.

This vehicle only received buffs on forward power to fix its poor climbing ability in previous updates, while steering power and track adaptability were never adjusted. It drives fine going straight but performs terribly while turning, easily getting stuck around corners and getting targeted by enemies.

To sum up the steering capability ranking: M3 ranks first, other half-tracks come second, and sdkfz\()is the worst.

What’s more, the track section of these half-track vehicles takes up more than three-quarters of the whole vehicle length. Structurally speaking, they are fully capable of smooth in-place steering and should never have such poor turning performance.
PS:【I originally planned to add comparison videos showing the steering difference of APCs between Enlisted and War Thunder, but I don’t know how to insert videos here, so I failed to do so. Sorry for that, you may need to compare them by yourselves.】

Referring to the identical fully-upgraded vehicles in War Thunder, which can achieve flexible in-place steering without any running start, it is obvious that Enlisted failed to adopt reasonable reference data when setting vehicle parameters, leading to unreasonable mobility settings. Hoping the official team can revise and balance these vehicles properly.

Does anyone else find the Sd.Kfz really hard to drive? It slows down drastically whenever you take turns.

Totally confused. The terrain in Normandy demands lots of turning. My vehicle suddenly jammed mid-drive, which was ridiculous. Strangely though, it can make sharp turns quickly in water. Is this a bug?
