With this radio operator event we’ve gotten a new event squad for every single nation in one go, this is fantastic, and should be the standard going forward
And, with that in mind, I believe it’s about time we finally got Soviet Paratrooper quality paratroopers for everyone, the United States, Japan, and Germany, it is rather unfair that such a requested mechanic for paratroopers from day 1 has been locked to only a singular faction
suggest something unique for russians first then

Actually, this could be an interesting mechanic for premium and event squads.
What if say for both event and premium you could unequip any weapon. You could then equip any weapon, EXCEPT:
Event Weapons (From Squads) only could be used by Event Squads (this would not impact Event Squad Weapons that are Tech Tree Weapons).
Premium Weapons (From Squads) only could be used by Premium Squads
Standalone Event Weapons become a new classification called “Limited Supply Weapons” and retain ability to be used anywhere.
They can give them a unique squad with the Gorov LMG Para variant as well as supposedly there was an experimental AVS 36 para variant
Or theoretically change the two Premium and event squads to have those weapons, then give them a research Paratrooper like for all factions
Regardless of the Soviets having a premium and event squad with the ability to change primary weapons, all factions should have research Paratroopers, INCLUDING the Soviets.
Also let’s not forget Britain and Italy!

para AVS is an alt history thing first posted on russian alt history site, if you are talking about this one.
pretty sure they said paras are event only
otherwise i dont mind seeing this functionality in para squads of other nations, but only after devs will rework existing soviet squads to be something made with more effort on par with other nations’ squads lol
