Preventing suicide-bombing/straffing/rocket-firing

It seems that in game there is a mechanic to deterre suicide bombing by making that if you die before your bombs explode you don’t get the kills (and that’s a great thing imo), however it’s not enough to significantly mitigate this phenomenon, so here is some ideas to counter that :

  • Extend this mechanic to rocket kills but with a timer, if you die in a few seconds after the explosion of the rockets, your kills get removed from your score.

  • Allow a way to leave your aircraft without having to die like a “return to base” point like the ressuply ammo one, it could even be the same, you could get a pop-up asking if you want to respawn with a ground unit or ressuply ammo.

  • Make that you get a significant point/xp bonus if you bring your plane back to the “return to base” and/or a penality if you die by crashing yourself (on purpose or not).

  • make the spawn point for plane much further from the battlefield, especially at the beginning of a game, it will make AAA and fighter actually usefull, and prevent people to get that quick suicide-bombing/straffing/rocket-firing and get back to the battlefield less than a minute after the game begin.

Further spawns are a must to prevent bombing the spawn.
I like the idea of revoking points on suicides as well, but I think there should be a notification specifically telling players their points were revoked so they know to stop doing it.

I agree, I noticed it only because I thought it was weird that after a plane suicide-bomb the kill feed would say that people were killed by “ennemy”, more notification and tips about the consequence of your actions should really be implemented…

Agree with further back spawns. Right now the meta is “spawn in, go into immediate dive, drops bombs”
when I think there should be more freedom to choose which direction your attack starts from.

I think if you kamakaze you should have a 1min cool down on all your squads.

Yeah and it would actually make fighter usefull because it’s almost impossible to prevent spawnkilling by shooting down the bomber because how close verything is…

I’m all for punishing this kind of behaviour but that would only push this kind of player to rage quit wich would punish the whole team. And people who crash by accident , especially new players, would be unfairly punished.
That’s why and xp penality/bonus system + a notification is better imo, there is still consequences to your action but you’re not prevented of playing and making up for your mistakes.
