Pressing "5" should be "Throwable" by default, and keep the inventory order unless cycled (repeated) or specific throwable hotkey

Hey I’m having trouble with the order of the three throwables I can carry in a large grenade pouch
Say my soldier has a frag grenade, a molotov, and an explosive pack, and I want to throw them in that order. Any time, no matter which order I’ve set the throwables in the inventory, the frag gets selected first, and then the explosive pack comes up, and the molotov last. What is changing the throwing order?

I’ve found a few other topics about this same issue and I wasn’t sure if these solutions from May and July '22 were understood and explored:

Basically, with default key bindings:
Just like how “1” switches to “Primary weapon slot”, and “2” for “Secondary” by default, make “5” swap to “Throwable (grenade/explosive/molotov/WP/smoke etc.)” in the same order as laid out in the soldier’s inventory in the main preparation menu. Retain the “Next Grenade Type” cycle function by repeating this same key, to rotate between the throwables when different situations arise. Also retain the individual keybinding options for specific throwables(currently Explosion pack is N, and Smoke is “,”.

Out of curiosity, what’s stopping you from having different binds for different grenades or modifiers for the same button? Holding the grenade button for the demo pack and quick press for the molotov for an example that works quite well.

afaik it’s a bug and it’s already been reported by someone

The number of different grenades I have is 3, not just two.
Also, as far as I know, new re-binds can’t be (holds). I think that’s only for the developer-decided defaults, mostly for gamepads.

I applaud your setup then. I usually go either with 3x molotovs or 3xwp. Admittedly, not particularly versatile or sportsman like but it gets the job done.

Are you quite certain?
weapon > grenade you want > bind you want > button setup (on hold)
I know that’s not quite what you were looking for but it might do the trick for you. And I can absolutely confirm it works after some fine tuning.

Still not the optimal and arguably most simple solution I’m asking for, a control to swap to “Throwable” Slot, while keeping the inventory order unless with cycling or specific grenade hotkey.
