If you want to stay at your pricing policy with high prices for premium squads give me something that make the buy worth it.
Here comes the suggestion: If I buy a premium squad and “unlock” a special weapon with it, do the same with normal squads and there weapon unlock. => Bronze weapon wagers have a chance to drop that weapon.
I dont know. I have no premium time and it is okay for me. I am lvl 13 in one campaign and do not feel the urge to progress faster.
If I am right, you play with a premium squad like having premium time active.
So progress is faster, but I can have the same (and more) with premium time. And you can buy a lot of premium time for the money of four squads.
Maybe. But is that not the same if a lvl 28 guy jumps into a house with a flamethrower that is defended by a campaign youngster defending it with single action rifle?
I oppose this more for the fact that the premium weapons are generally better than their ftp counterparts. Due to their balance coming in smaller squads of 4 men instead of 7. As a result, this would allow paying players access to better guns that ftp players cant access. Its pay to win, although I can tell that the OP has good intentions unlike many similar suggestions.
I am totally with you that some ppl will complain.
Hack, I cannot think of one suggestion where everyone is happy about.
Even “make everything for free” will make not everyone happy, because games are not developed by love alone.
At the moment I have the feeling that those weapons are just different, but maybe I am not try hard enough. I have the feeling that even with the best weapon the person with the better skill and reaction wins.
And let us not forget that just because they are in the pool of possibilites, it is not said that they are easy to gain. The developers could put them at a low chance like an axe (or even lower).
Agreed. However, it does give a player an advantage, which does matter, especially in squads against the AI.
My issue still comes down to the fact that it gives paying players the same advantage. Its not hard to grind out bronze orders. I have well over 100 available right now that I’m saving for when Berlin comes out. And if they’re available for silver orders the same thing applies.
The thompson is indeed better than the M2 Hyde. But the M1941 rifle is better than the Garand for example. The PPD-40 and MP-40-I is better than their ftp counterparts as well. Thats the issue.
Most of the time they don’t tend to be massively better though. And honestly, considering how much premium squads cost, I can’t say it would be unwelcome to get more for that money, given how doubtful it is they would reduce the cost of such.
It does make it not as bad. But weak pay to win is still pay to win. Especially when they could just do as you say and lower the prices to make it worth it.
Honestly, I’d be happier if I could throw non-premium troopers into my premium squads, like adding any two other class types to premium squads. Putting an engineer and a radio operator or the like into my premium squads, or even just an engineer or two, would improve the squads massively in usefulness, as is they’re just inflexible, aside from the premium engineer squads which… are just undermanned.
Agreed. I said it was a possibility they had made them too weak on day one of the changes and that they might need to add a slot or two back. I feel that thats been reaffirmed by the OBT results.
To my understanding, at least when looking at premium tanks, their purpose is to help you advance campaign a bit faster, you get something that is better than starting tanks but not better than high end tanks that you get later in campaign.
Like, I would totally get metal Chaika for soviets (but not at its current price) just to make fighter gameplay a tad bit more enjoyable and collet looking early plane, while anyway replacing it later with Yak. Or keeping it just to run a “fighter only” outfit.
Some intermediate or unusual weapons on infantry would be nice. Or something that requires special care as it doesn’t fit well into a general structure of the game. For example, Berdan II is a really fun to use but as it’s a single shot weapon, you get a minuscule ammunition with it and it can’t be really improved by addition of ammo bags.
So progress is faster, but I can have the same (and more) with premium
You get double XP as premium squads and then premium doubles that XP. Meaning you get quadruple XP with both squads and premium.
And having full MG and SMG squads and cannon tanks at the start of campaign also increases the amount of XP gain, simply because you can make more frags in the same time with that kind of weapons compared to bolt action rifles.
You really get quadruple? when i last time checked premium squad give +100% from BASE exp. same for premium account. Those are additive so its 200% bonus combined.
While it sounds nice its only noticaple when using 3 premium squads.
Also still have to level those other squads and soldiers.
This might be false but i assume if someone levels all their squads and soldiers without premium squad they get max campaing level before those squads are maxed
