The excuse makes no sense anymore since old MG premium squads from Moscow and Normandy have engineers as well.
True reason is that we dont get a “unique” engie gun for rifleman, assaulter etc to get engies for the premiums.
meh… you know its common to make repetitive suggestions and topics in here , since devs usually wont let you know whether they are at least doing something that is related to your suggestion or not, they rarely respond to topics of this kind
so for example
everyone wants G41 reloading to be fixed along with other SA rifles that has this type of reload, dozens of topics were made
and its only devs responsibility that they cant do anything about it still, not players fault that he still complains about it … so id spam them this game issues as many times as i like as long as they are present
i made this topic (or usually are making other suggestion topics) primarily so some dev might answer me, if some useful discussion with players will occur during this, thats fine ill gladly spare my time for some chit chat on how memes are developed and shit 
but when some stupid useless comments appear i can still flag that shit to oblivion
i dont think my suggestion is irrelevant, nobody knows exactly how premium squads will ends up
I will just take this opportunity to let everyone know that the Johnson M1941, given to the premium Ally engineer squad in Normandy, sucks! I wish I could swap it out as well, although I understand why I can not.
Seriously, no one buy the 9th infantry regiment squad unless all you want is a good build team early into the campaign…
