Ok I understand why the Devs don’t want premium squads to be P2W but once you get into the later stages of the campaign they are pretty much not worth playing any more.
I propose a new order type (premium squad upgrade order) that becomes available in the later stages of the campaign and that will allow you to unlock the ability to add additional solderers to the squad as well as an increase in rank from IV to V.
This will keep the premium squads as they are at lower campaign levels but also make them useful in the later campaign levels as well …
I think this change will also increase the sale of premium squads because they will no longer be seen as temporary thing but a squad that will be useful throughout the campaign.
Of course the premium squad upgrades will need to be carefully balanced so that they are not meta or OP at any part of the campaign. They just need to be viable again …
Anything that provided a way to get more soldiers exacly like non premium squads.
All I m asking for months it’s the same techtrees as non premium ones…
I don’t mind If I have to grind 50k or what ever per level on a premium squad, as long as I m able to have a extra trooper or radioman or what ever on a engineer squad for example.
Not only 4 soldiers, that once a campaign is over, they are just that, 4 soldiers… Way inferior than a free upgraded squad…
This is arguably the worst premium they’ve released .
I really wanted to jump in on the Tunisia CBT but I am having trouble finding motivation to part with 50 dollars for two dogshit squads I’ll never use.
Does the Engineer have full engineer building capabilities?
The premium squads do appear in the campaign level up map despite requiring either money or premium coins, and maybe when you reach that level; you now receive the full potential of the squad by adding more soldiers to it.
Personally I’d like premium squads for the unique weapons instead of to grind XP as I reach near max level, it be nice to use them like my regular squads.
Make them reflect their non-premium counterparts. Result: squad that is not more powerful than the rest, but that is unique and with exp boost.
Everyone will be happy… except gunners who would lose one gunner in squad.
(but lets be honest, only really bad players who relied on 4 gunner squad would be mad because of that tradeoff since all premium LMGs are strong as hell anyhow… chauchat excluded)
Sure, but that would beat any sense in having premium squads in the first place which is not direction we seems to be heading.
Making sure that premium squads are worthwhile but not cancerous should take priority for the sake of players who paid for them.
Yet, as I have said many times before, this requires just a simple fix and that is expanding their composition to reflect regular squads (of course, choice upgrades should not be predefined so each player can customize this to his/her likings). Hells I would switch back to my PPK squad in Moscow without thinking if such option was available.
