Why does the MG42 on this APC overheat so quickly when any used by Machine Gunners keep trucking along? Every other factions Premium APC doesn’t do this and they ALL are armed better.
I understand MG nests overheating as they have limitless ammo…but this reloads.
And historically wouldn’t it have a 100 round belt?
Just burst fire it. Ive recently got it and only had it over heat once when I was spraying down like 10 enemy troops lol.
But it would be cool if they reduced its overheating issues

Definitely…none other overheats.
There is no logical reason for it, no game play related reason and no authentic reason.
The vehicle MG 42 in the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 instantly overheating and the weird long reload time is silly from any point of view, especially considering that the vehicle MG 42 is flanked in the vehicle itself by two MG 42 armed soldiers that are able to that keep firing normally without overheating and without those weird long reload times.
The vehicle MG 42 gunner is usually the first one to get killed, and he will also not fire if the player does not directly take control of him. And when the player does take control of him he is usually instantly killed because he is programmed to not take cover behind the armoured shield.
In other words he just stands there without firing back if the player does not take control of him, and when the player does take control of him he can get 1-2 short bursts off at best, after which he basically is just standing there waiting to get shot and killed.
In reality the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 MG vehicle gunners took cover behind the gun shield, and used long ammunition belts as is clear from many wartime films and photos.

You can thank some random translated chinese post for complaining that it had a drum with 150 rounds… assuming that gave them the idea.
They adjusted it without putting it in patch notes so no one would complain… real smart move @MajorMcDonalds adjusting premiums core aspect without notice.
And then to mediate it they “buffed” the overheat yet as we can see here by your complaints it’s still prevalent… there isn’t any other mg you need to baby as much as the one on the 251… which could be a result of its fire rate yet whatever… let them use the mg and then get smacked by aircraft when they see their tracers.
