lately I have been looking at what I unlock in the advanced levels of the campaign and I search the internet for their story and I have noticed that the PPS42 / 43 are classified as lower level weapons than the PPSH41 (PPS41) and PTD40, this is historically wrong being that the PPS42 / 43 (or the new PPK42) is a much more advanced and performing weapon compared to the PPSH41 (PPS41) and the PTD40, the classification is totally wrong and the PPS42 / 43 should be in the last levels, while the PPSH41 (PPS41) and the PTD40 at the first levels

balance is why since PPSH has high RPM and can use a 71 round drum mag

if the dev want balance berlin is sufficient remove pre 1943 wapons profit
The PPS have far lower performance in game than the likes of the PPD and PPSh, so I’m going to say I’m against the idea.
The main benefits IRL were in lower cost of production, accuracy at long range, and greater reliability, anyway, which means unless jams were reintroduced, absolutely no one would touch the PPS.

It’s really not though? It’s only shit when you compare it to the Soviet SMGs which have excessively high stats statistically.

I would prefer that they still adjust the level of the weapons personally I do not like to see old weapons have more levels than modern weapon (like the Beretta1918 made in 1918 superior to the mp40 for the game)

Newer weapons do not usually mean better. For ww2 sake it means they are usually worse. All countries started mass producing simpler weapons instead of making the really good and complicated ones.
What you ask for makes it so the worse weapons would be at the end of the campaign and the best weapons at the start. That would not make sense from a historical nor game balance perspective.

in truth PPS42 / 43 are superior to any smg Germany has now the only things that suck are the German ones vs soviet ones(vg1-5 high end smg)

Due to the low rate of fire, the bullets fly where they need to,and do not get stuck in the corpse.
The Beretta 38 and VG.1-5 are honestly better than the PPS42/43. The MP 35/L is pretty much the equal to the PPS42/43s.
But… yeah. The VG.1-5 is easily a B tier weapon overall in the campaign, possibly low A tier. But the PPD and PPSh are fully S tier weapons.

PPSh and PPS were meant to serve side by side as production need to make all the guns they can make and they cannot afford to stop production. PPSh is meant to be a standard issue SMG while PPS is meant for scouts, tank crews, special assault groups, etc.
PPD and AVS-36 don’t make any sense at all considering those guns were already rare and were replaced by the PPSh and SVT-40 at this point.

Im kinda more concerned about the STG 44 coming into the game, since it has the potential to be a better assaulter class weapon than the PPSH, which would work against the idea that Soviets have better assaulter guns, while Germany has better MGs.
Other than that, yea… it makes sense to have the “more DPS” gun be a later unlock.
Dont know why OP wants to have it according to the year each gun came out.
it’s a problem with names i don’t like to see first pps42 pps43 next and as the last weapon ptd40 and pps41 is stronger than me 
for stg44 i would prefer it to be equipable by troopers while fg42 become an assaulters wapons
Yeah, the pps 42 or pps 43 seems to be considered the best submachine gun of the Second World War
The FG42 is already very strong so adding the StG44 would be just overkill. It should be an Assaulter. They already have the VG-15 so it would make sense too.
