PPD34/35 (sector) needs to be reworked

I beg my pardon but we still talk about smg

It doesn’t have a higher firerate it maxes at 600rpm when both the Madsen and ZB max at 750rpm.

I admit was wrong
german start LMG have insane recoil compare to rosia LMG
i fire both in full auto because had both on soldier so could test, much worse to control german LMG
however i also test ppk and mp41 and mp41 far far superior. Almost no recoil make very easy to use even compared to ppk
this lack of recoil exacerbates issue with ppd recoil as in comparison mp41 (and to slightly lesser extent the other german SMG) you can do much more good with german SMG despite supposed DPS with (stick magazine) ppd
drum PPD horrible recoil balance by big drum and much more fun

then they changed that last patch

Hot damn, that’s some fine firing. I think there’s a disconnect between the recoil in the training field and the actual battle, because that thing flies all over the place in the training field.

That’s definitely not right, though. It should only have recoil like that if you’re crouched in a windowsill or laying prone on the ground.

It clearly says in the training room its not mg 13. It doesnt even looks like mg13 current model (see the gif from the top), short: there is no mg13 in the training room.

To me, recoil isnt something, but firerate and persistence is a big problem.
PPD drains magazine toooo quickly, so you can only kill upto 3~4 ppl in one mag. While German’s MP28 is more easy to use due to higher magazine volume and lower firerate.
Also reloading PPD is a pain, too long compared to how soon it drains out.
BTW, take a rifle with your assaulter and use that for long shots.

PPD is hard to use for starter. I have chated with several ppl using both PPD and MP, they all said, PPD is very hard to control. Also, it’s not at all “a bit progress to Madsen”, I have been kept playing this game everyday since CBT now, still only reached lv9. 40h is not short at all.
MP is suitable for all distance, PPD only for short distance and facing fewer enemies.
Only after some practice then you can handle PPD well.
(Semi auto bug is still there not been fixed at all)

Yeah. I cant fire one shoot it fires two with recoil. I`m not the man who search an easy way to win but PPD34.38 with 25 rounds upgraded for more rof is totally completely wasted gun.

what level is PPD Drum at

I’m not really sure.
I’ve had a lot of problems with the PPD in the earlier stages of the game, but now I really like it - even when I’m playing it without a drum, tho I sure needed the drum to appreciate the weapon overall.
It is hard to control, but the PPD is controllable - and the semi-auto mode is quiet effective when engaging in mid-ranges. Triple taps quickly down enemies. I’ve enjoyed some success in dropping a whole squad in a single stick.
In a building it shreds everything in auto.

But it is counter-intuitive at first.
Trigger discipline is hard.

personally i can’t tell how it is now i only know that i didn’t liek it and jumped on the drum version immidietly but that was in closed alpha and the drum verison was almost available for the start so i go a lot of them quick and easy and compelty avoided the boxed sub version cause it didn’t like it

Well, the PPD(drum) is now at level 11, so I had a lot of time to ignore the PPD(stick).
A week of grinding, I guess.

Nevertheless, it was a mistake to ignore her for so long.
She’s more than viable, now that I got a feel for her.

Yeah, firing PPD(25) is like blowing out rolling stone. Is it that you just say?)

A PPD with a sector(stick) magazine can be a highly specialized weapon with a lower recoil compared to the PPD(71) due to its ease of holding and lower weight. There is also a solution to transfer horizontal returns to the perk system, which will allow you to use the PPD more effectively at a higher level.
However, its long reload does not go away, which radically destroys its belonging to a weapon for close range.
If there were perks to speed up the reload of weapons like PP or reduce recoil, this would give the PT(25) a chance to become a more or less tolerable barrel.

Definetly after a first 50-100 hours i get use to it but for now its a gun for begginers who aint got PPD(71). And they struggle a lot with it low capacity and recoil

24% reload perk?
