IMO the engineer and his gadgets performs too good. He can build way too much (to a point where one engineer can close a whole point if it is a building or trench) and the spawn points are broken.
So my suggestions would be:
Limit the choice of buildings for engineer
→ Engineer can pick just one type of cover (tank traps or sandbags), one weapon type (AT (if we will face them) AA or MG) and one supportive building (spawn point or supply crates) into the battle.
Spawn points can only build once per 3-5 min and are “broken” after 3-5 squad spawns
Trank traps cant be build inside buildings or trenches anymore.
I think that the engineer soldier on other squads is fine. You still need to protect that individual soldier.
Tank traps only need a pathfinding fix for the AI - letting them crawl under them. That way they simply are a hindrance instead of a total blockade towards AI, still letting attackers get in and dismantle it by hand.
I think that if you gave infinite copies of blueprints (so you dont have to earn them from crates) that you can equip in the equipment slots of an engi should be enough to weaken them in the other regards.
meaning that, yes, they are more than good due to their capability of locking entire points with just two of these.
like, limiting two guns from 1. it’s a good idea.

i disagree. because at least more people and for the overhall battle, enginners will always be needed. i don’t see why you should force people to pick the same squad over and over just because it’s made of enginners, when you have other squads to progress with. and you might find your self in a battle with no enginners because for the previous reason. and, you can’t relay on someone else that brought the engy squad.
My point would be to separate squads into categories and make them more unique instead just as another grind cluster.
Like you wanna play aggressive/ on the front, pick a rifle, smg or flamer squad. You wanna support your team advancing, pick a MG, engineer, mortar or sniper squad.
I agree though this would be more than just the issue regarding the engineer.
I honestly doubt that the AI will be that smart one day.
Agree there though I would still prefer that they can just pick one gun type.

once a bomber, a fighter or any other threat that can deal with him, knoes his spawn location, it’s gonna be a hell for everyone that will try to use any AA.
or worse, they can simply just avoid them. so an already fixed position will become useless.
