The jumbo shouldn’t even be there, personally I would really prefer it if they had historically correct vehicles at least in the different campaigns, I know it would be almost impossible for them to have realistic weapons for the infantry in those campaigns because of the nature of the progression in the game but they could at least make the vehicles realistic, and realism has its own sort of balance.
This would mean removing things like the M 24 which didn’t see Service until the battle of the bulge.
Things one might expect to find in Normandie would beM10’s, Churchill’s, fireflies, 75 mm Shermans in abundance, no 76 mm Sherman’s, Panthers, king tigers and tigers, stug’s, various Panzer IV’s, Cromwell, jadgpanther, Jadgpanzer IV L48, Marauders, Stuart’s, I could go on at some length.
The firefly really is at the top of the Allied food chain either the superlative 17 pounder followed by the M 10’s 7^ mm, and the 6 pounder equipped Churchill, the built if the Allied tanks in Normandy had the 75 mm gun, all the Cromwell’s in NW Europe and 75% of the churchills were equipped with a 75 mm gun that fired the same ammo as the US 75 mm Sherman’s, and of course most of the tanks the British were using were 75 mm Shermans.
The 75 mm guns the US was using we’re capable of killing all of the German tanks from the side or rear at the combat ranges we typically see in game, only the front of the panther and the king tiger are really immune to their attentions, and the Jadpanter and Jadgpanzer IV, the 76 mm gun on the M10 While not the penetrator the 17 pounder was, could deal with almost everything except for the king tire from the front and even that the 17 pounder would find challenging at certain ranges but not at the range as we seem games.
I really do think the realism at least with regards to the tanks would be both immersive and completely effective in game terms and give them plenty of options
