Yeah you can kill Jumbo with Pz4H if you shoot that jumbo’s machine gun tits, but Jumbo STILL have 75mm AP and It can penetrate Panzer’s Front hull and turret armor ya know?
You might say: “fLanK and kill that tHIck boi”, but Panzer IV is too slow to flanking, and also, YOU can destroy ALMOST TANKS if you flank. Hell, you can even destroy Tiger II with 75mm Shermans or even 75mm GMC if you do flanking in WT.
In my opinion jumbo isn’t the problem, it’s a symptom. Namely the symptom of how bad the grey zone mechanic works.
Because when jumbo is in the playable area, it’s killed almost instantly as a high priority target. Problem is that it’s very rare to see it in the playable area.
When Jumbo is in playable area, At least Germans can destroy jumbo with Explosion packs or fLanking. but outside of Area, It is hard to destroy Jumbo because It’s only weak point is machine gun TITS. And it is hard to shoot it.
But Unlike Normandy, In Berlin campaign or Moscow Campaign, At least you can penetrate Top tier tanks with Anti-Tank Cannon or Their top rank tanks, or even Anti-Tank Weapons for Infantries like Panzerfaust.
That’s why Jumbo is Overpowered in Normandy. You can’t Destroy it while facing front.
Yes, especially the attacker and defender role of Axis and Allies in Normandy campaign. I don’t see much problem with Jumbo in conquest mode, and the Le Bre when German attack.
One thing I have noticed, a jumbo cannot be taken with panzers series that well, as they are far too slow to get around the jumbo. Which is much faster than panzers, one way is a surprise or flanking in a way. Or be sneaky and get behind it. But then it is about the player who’s driving the jumbo, some are really good they just align the tank + the weak spots are pretty well hidden. And the ground is mostly up and down so some of the points are also hidden more. As the puma is faster you can utilize this, just gas gas gas and go around, but puma will almost explode after one hit.
Haven’t personally used all the axis tanks so don’t really know about the Pz IV.
How to win
Easier to flank it with infantry, aim for the engines and middle point of the tank. Explosives, mines, etc.
PZ.III has a fast fire rate, move, and shoot. Won’t work all the time though, same with Puma.
Planes seem to do good damage against them. Help your teammates.
agree, maybe they should add something like this :
when you spawn as a tank in a gray zone you get x amount of minutes to move out of it afterwards it becomes your gray zone aswell
or tanks in the gray zone get debuffs : reduced fire-rate, cant shoot main gun etc something like that.

This would be a big overhaul:
Replace the M4A2 with the M10 GMC so that it goes against the Panzer 4 J, and give both tanks rounds with explosive filler (M62/Pz.Gr. 39). While characterized as a tank destroyer, its hand cranked turret traverse closely resembles that of the IV J medium tank. It has a better performing shell at the cost of survivability since its an open topped vehicle with only a 38.1 mm of frontal armor (slope of 55°).
Comparison of shells (Source from War Thunder):
M62 - 146mm at 100 m at 0°, 63.7 g of explosive filler.
Pz.Gr. 39 - 135mm at 100 m at 0°, 28.9 g of explosive filler.
Then replace the M4A3E2 Jumbo with the M4A2, or better yet, the M4 (Appliqué armored 75) model from War Thunder and GIVE IT M61. While it has less armor than the M4A2 and slightly lower penetration over the M62 previously found in the M10 GMC, M61 shells have more than enough penetration and explosive filler to severely damage contemporary Axis tanks at angles where M72 shells currently frustratingly cannot go through.

Muh historical accuracy too. M72s were replaced by M61s before the Normandy campaign.
This would pave the way for adding in a DD Sherman (M4A1) as an early premium tank between the M8 GMC and the M10 GMC, and for the addition of the M4A1 (76) W/Panther D after the M4 (75)/Panzer IV H later down the line. This would be followed by the M18 GMC/Jagdpanzer IV as the last unlockable tank destroyers depending on how far the Campaign levels go (Currently estimated at 40?).

Issue is that the devs dont care.
Instead of creating the same topic over and over again people should consider to stop buying gold etc. (in case they do it repeatedly or consider it). This could hurt them more than the spam in the forum or cringy polls/ petitions.
I still think that we can influence them on some subjects: e.g. the controversy over the addition of a second attacker slot that a huge amount of posts were being made over just like these posts for the M4A3E2. I just feel that their response to Q&A about them choosing entry years over historical use AND the addition of a gold ordered M24 that following update just cements the perspective that they’re unfortunately decided on this subject. It would still be nice to see it go the other way since they actually read and respond to this forum and a larger frequency of posts oriented toward the Jumbo is certainly a form of feedback to the developers. It’s also something that you can get others to easily commit to (it’s ultimately their money in the purchasing of gold). Cringe or no cringe, it’s something.
I did that once in Moscow lone fighter. We were like 5 vs. 10 plus bots, the village was a rampage with tanks and bombs and artillery, so I ended up building the AA next to the spawn point and kept firing at the cap. I felt somewhat guilty afterwards, but at the moment it was the only fun thing to do. We did capture 1/4 of the first point I think, thanks to the AA, but that was all for that match.
