Basically, the title says it all.
I think that we should be awarded score for destroying the enemy team’s equipment. (I.E., Rally points, Ammo crates, AA guns, field guns, barbed wire, so on).

Would be nice even if its a small bonus
I wouldn’t go so far as to say nil for the sandbags. Players can mount LMGs to sandbags and mow down squads trying to cap an objective, and it takes a fair amount of firepower to get rid of a sandbag emplacement entirely. I’d still award points for destroying sandbags or as I like to call them “Pillow forts”, as it could be considered a fortification. Doesnt have to be much, but I’d still like something. Every little bit of XP goes to unlocking the next level, after all.
I’d also go out on a limb and say that if a placed entity, built by an engineer is in an objective ring it should be worth a bit more XP because it’s being used to defend an objective.
All of these suggestions will incentivize players to destroy stuff like this more often, especially if it’s been placed at an objective.
Just make it work how I thought it would.
If the fortification is used, it should have points.
But fresh “unused” fortifications that didn’t contribute engineering points for usage shouldn’t reward any points. This means that if it’s in constant use, and the more people use it, the more rewarding it is to destroy. But completely new fortifications, or ones in the middle of nowhere should reward any, if at all.
We’ll have to partially disagree on this one. The system you propose on points based off usage is an interesting one, and would certainly make rally points well worth hunting down and destroying. But I still think that regardless of how new or not the fortification is, at least some score should be rewarded for it’s destruction. Even if it is menial.
