I just want to remind everyone that a large part of the community have been asking for UK to be separated from USA and Italy from Germany.
People say that the player base wouldn’t be large enough, but after the steam release, I want to guess that matchmaking will be cut to 20 seconds. Matchmaking already stands at around 1 minute if you play the popular faction like USA, which is ok (in my opinion).
I hope this will be the first update that happens after the steam release because I can’t stand seeing British in the Pacific. I’m aware there were some British in the Pacific especially South Asia, but the British were not the ones known for island hopping like the Americans were.
I purposely avoid Machine gunner 1, engineer 1, assaulter 3, at gunner 1, and etc for these reasons.
And this might be controversial, but I hope the Lanchester and Ross rifle get removed from the USA tech tree, and moved into Britain, but remain usable if you still have it like how the Mannlicher M93 or MP717r is.

But why i can’t buy assaulter 3 if I already unlocked in Berlin at the campaign time?
What i need to research? All the gun first?
And how can a new player unlock squad if they can buy soldier only? maybe i’m retarded but this is not explained to well in the game.
You should be able to, unless you sold the squad allowing it?

in the unlock tech tree, some weapons come with squads (there’s a tiny soldiers logo in the bottom right corner of the weapon icon). Once those weapons are unlocked, so will the corresponding squad
I used to advocate for dedicated Italian and UK trees too, but recently I’m not sure anymore.
First of all, I’d HATE if all my current Italian and UK stuff, including several premium and event squads, stayed within German and US trees and I had to research everything again from scratch in new trees without them.
Second, the current “hybrid” trees offer a lot of opportunities to mix up equipment and weaponry.
I think the best solution would be just create separated lines or even subtrees in German/US tech tree with its own squads.
And maybe allow to Italians/British to use only their own stuff, meanwhile Germans/Yankies could still use all including Italian/British stuff.
Plus make British/Italian vehicles exclusive only to British/Italian squads.
I can agree with the rest, including restricting vehicles to squads nationality, but this part doesn’t sound right. Why would one side of the tree have access to all the toys, and the other side not? Sounds like stepchildren treatment.
That is what happened in War Thunder when they introduced new countries such as France and Italy. As a result player who had the french/Italian planes in the UK/German tech tree could keep them but it was not possible to get them anymore.
For instance CR 42 and G50 (and probably others) were in the German tech tree, but they introduced Italy as an independant nation at some point. Thus the “german” italian planes were no longer obtainable but the player who already had them could keep them.
I suppose this would be the most plausible option, but at the same time I don’t really agree with having the UK/Italy as entire faction in enlisted as of now.
It could be reasonable to restrict SOME guns to their own nationality, but there should be at the very least a shared pool of more common weapons for each category, so that there are viable options if one side is lacking.
In WT It wasn’t a big deal, since in example at the time when Italy was added, the Italian planes already in the German tree were very few, all low tier (easy to unlock again) and iirc no premiums except the super cheap starter one.
In Enlisted, on the other hand, the German tree currently includes enough Italian content that after the merge I’ve been able to set up no less than 3 complete lineups at different BRs exclusively with Italian squads, vehicles and weapons (except a pair of MG34 and Panzerfausts here and there, because Italian options in that sense at high tiers are lacking). Those lineups incidentally include premium squads, event paratroopers, and several event / gold order guns.
Therefore, should Italy ever be split from Germany in Enlisted, I’d be EXTREMELY pixxed off if all that already existing Italian content wasn’t ported over, staying locked inside the German tree.
