well. aside from the fact that you are using a third party crossair which it’s not allowed as far as i remember,
the issue regarding the ammunition was intended by devs.
as the fg is a late tier weapon. and with the grenade launcher it’s even more stronger. hence the ammo " cap " as a sort of balancement.
beside, you can build ammo rally point.
regarding on the concrete issue it appears being a bug, or it could be that you opened the parachute too early.
which i hope someone will be able to take care more than i can do and specify it.
and even if those get recognized as issues, those takes time to implement.

it might take several weeks, up to months or even one year/s ( for example, the g41 reload. which might get fixed in the upcoming update, but it has been broken since the beginning of this game. roughly 2 years if not more )

Grenade launcher are not well balanced because they can easily kill themselves in a narrow space, but American paratroopers do not. On the contrary, they have advantages in a narrow space.
the american paras are more for close quarters, while the german one for mid to long range. with the ability to use grenade launchers. beside, you can change their weapons in the container box. making them a sort of jack of all trades unit.
Although I can establish ammunition supply points, I only have one engineer, which is very fragile and requires time to build, and it greatly limits my range of activities.
i’m afraid you are asking for a better squad that wouldn’t be really balanced.
the reason why you see the ammo being limited, as well as only one engineer available, is because it makes it balanced.
as previously hinted, the paratrooper crates gives a huge advantage. especially since you are paradropping ( the main feature of the squad ) if devs would go further and add more to it, it would effectively become an op squad. more than somewhat already is.
i don’t think it’s op, but it doesn’t need any more buffs.
