I love the atmosphere of the game. It’s one of the many things that makes me love it compared to Battlefield V: it looks and feels like WWII.
But, seeing people running around while leaning 45 degrees to the side or seeing people jump and go prone and pop up back to standing in half a second are things that kill the “tactical/realistic” vibe.
I still don’t understand some of the reasoning.
I had someone on the enemy team today that kept leaning literally every time they fired even when it didn’t make sense to. I’ve heard in the past that it’s a way to activate aimbots, but this guy wasn’t doing particularly well and we won at the first point.
@47094123 was there as a random, in case he was seeing something I wasn’t.
They should add an accuracy penalty for a short time after doing something like jumping/leaning/crouching/proning to represent needing to recheck your aim/change position after movement, it could be a very small amount of time (talking 0.1 of a second), but it would at least slow down some of the silly shit.
I will quite often spam lean left/right during a fight because its much harder to get hit, and in some situations barely changes your own aim. Dropshotting is also incredibly lame (quickly proning at the start of a confrontation to radically change your profile) especially when you have the pose change speed perk, it’s almost instant and incredibly overpowered for anyone who can use it well.
Sadly, I didn´t notice it. Perhaps we fought separatedly.
We are playing a game where we are controlling robots disguised as humans so don´t be surprised about that. All somewhat realistic movement was removed a while ago (instead of improving/extending it to jumping).
I agree with the accuracy penalty, but being able to fire at all times is important so control is still in the players hands. Nothing more annoying than being forced into a situation where you start going through an animation at the moment someone comes around the corner right in your face and you can’t do anything about it.
In reality I can shoot while jump or go prone so why exactly?
Ok, it will be 10% chance I shoot myself, but I can. Just make aim a terrible ± 30 degree in any direction. (Where 30 is to be replaced by some more exact value determined by field testing some paintball rifles. )
You can, but because of those 10% you won’t. Also remember that there are up to 8 other people around you that can get shot (in theory).
If you are passionate for russian roulette, then I can’t help you.
there’s a glitch that allows you to get stuck in a leaning position if you add a modifier key to the binds… but you cant run while leaning, you can walk around but that’s about the best mobility you got while leaning
Why did they think perks like “Speed of Changing Pose” and “+40% Jump Height” were necessary in the first place? I’d love to be a fly on the wall in some of these meetings at Darkflow.
