It’s insanely easy to shoot down planes with the target circle. It gives anyone on offense an insane advantage over someone defending themselves.
It takes skill of leading shots completely out of the equation. Just follow the circle and you will get hits.
Defenders breaking hard against an attacker has no way of throwing off attackers shots or aim, because even if you don’t see the plane, you just have to aim at circle and it’s done.
Yes, leading would take skill w/o indicator but at the same time it would be too difficult for the avg player. Unintentionally would result in players just quitting or not playing planes.
Maybe for you it is insanely easy, but not all of us are at the same level when it comes to planes.
You can’t see the circle if you don’t see the plane and it’s indicator. There is a loading screen tooltip explaining how it works.
There are various ways to throw off attacker’s aim… I wonder why you’re saying there is noone.
Look, I would love to personally, but just like the indicator on the ground vehicles the average player just can’t cope without it. Just look at how invincible some of this community call the T-34 for example even when the penetration indicator tells exactly where you should shoot it.
well, it would work if your average joe understood certain basic flying mechanics and tactics, but since most casuals only give a damn about dropping hell on the ground, I doubt it would improve the game in anyway since
95% of people wouldnt bother with enemy planes.
In addition to other methods, one that I use a LOT is breaking line of sight and shutting off my engines, and gliding low altitude. The good pilots may still come after you, but the other ones will NOT.
As far as OP…
My alternative suggestion would be to make a change to if/when it appears.
If the player turns off the engine, the aim marker would disappear.
By flying below a certain altitude, players should need to be closer to that target for the indicator AND even the red enemy mark, to show up.
@EdVanSchleck Any thoughts on this? I know its been brought up before but were there other good suggestions from prior that you can remember?
Don’t remember seeing a lot of threads complaining about it, funny enough, the penetration indicator is yellow (instead of clear beautiful green like on the T-34) on a little part of the turret cheek (on the “old” KT), nothing that stop someone who isn’t full of wunderwaffen myth shoved down the throat to put it to test.
I also dont remember that the Tiger II H is actually the P (nor why its important to mention the fact that people prefer the T34 85 over both IS2 models anyway) anyway but I guess the constant ez play Allied maining in Tunisia and Moscow makes it hard to figure out models in less easier campaigns for Allied maining.
Not as hard as someone who teachs plebs about skills while playing Tunisia Allies with max gear.
Please, dont make it harder and idk face less of those high skilled bot teams… ve heard that Berlin Axis has slightly less of them.
Nervous? You don’t seen to take well that the wunderwaffen can be taken out by the 85mm even without the green indicator and there’s isn’t nearly as many complaints about it than the crybabies about Moscow with a big beautiful green indicator LMAO
Dude is really having a breakdown over the fact ally players don’t come nearly as often to the forum to cry than axis players
Not really because I currently grind Pacific/ campaign where you might actually meet players so I wont meet your insane level of skill. And since its Allied side, I wont even face you because you only play Allies.
Because I dont want to play against a player who knows how to shoot bots and uses the Steven-Seagal tank tactic.
Ehh Not really. I think its pretty consens that Soviet Berlin T-34s are the sole usable tanks there in terms of armor vs armor … and against a tank I didnt even mention… wow…
And well, it must be so easy that in your last matches you didnt play Berlin Allies once (or that so many Soviet mains literally say they dont like or play Berlin).
Because those Tunisia Axis bots wont kill themself for sure.
I highly doubt that you know it given you literally only play Allies sides so whatever.
Sometimes I don’t have the time to think about indicator whether to pen or not but I just rely on War Thunder experience where to shoot. Sometimes no color at all and what I need to do is to shoot and hope its a good hit.
The game doesn’t tell you how to shoot certain tanks like Jumbo, Panther, Tiger and King Tiger where an average player who has no War Thunder experience would struggle.
Fighter planes you mean.
But bombers are different .
A bit easier and more useful for the team.
I don’t see a problem with learning curves and dog fighting is a steep one.
Can you imagine everything being super easy in a game?
No challenge at all is boring .
First flight sim I’ve played as called Pacific back in the 90’s.
Than always had a flight sim on my gaming option.
Now I play il-2 Stalingrad and it’s pretty realistic.
It takes time and a bit of research to learn manuvers but it pays.
My advice. Try war thunder. Almost identical plane controls and you can pick a side as in enlisted.
Not good with flying fighter planes??
Good thing Enlisted is not a flight simulator!
