Currently the rewards for completing the objectives (in a game with only objective-based gamemodes) are absurdly low. This is why attacking is harder than defence, because shitters don’t push and farm xp. 50 metres behind the cap zone.
Why shouldn’t we get xp for planting and defusing (what you need to do to win the game)? Objective based gamemodes like the ones in enlisted have been a staple of online shooters for over 20 years. Massive oversight, this is super elementary game design, you have to motivate your playerbase to play the modes as intended. Come on guys.
I think it should be 1000 points for arming and 500pts for disarming. For arming, you are putting yourself at a great disadvantage due to people rushing you and throwing explosives while arming. Less points for disarming because it takes half the time to do it.
You are correct. Only people who want to “win” play objectives, because you get more XP for farming. I think you get maybe 100-200 at most for arming. Don’t quote me on that though
Also people don’t realize this but that XP boost of getting kills on the objective is pretty big already.
I agree though that the cap XP should be much higher I can’t remember what it was either but it’s really low. I think it’s like 100 or 50. I remember when I first saw it I was like… is that it??
I’m still one of those people who love to PTFO and if I’m not, then I’m probably doing something else like destroying enemy armour and providing cover fire to people on the cap.
