Now, I’m well aware that since we only have 2 queues- BRs 1-3 and 3-5, and the effect of moving the minimum BR down is… Nonexistent, there’s equally no reason to cram all the game’s LMGs into 4 BRs.
Decompressing the BRs paves the way for potential future improvements to the BR system, and I just don’t understand why LMGs are arbitrarily placed at a higher BR by default, when they are clearly less capable than same-BR or lower SMGs.
Functioning bipods would absolutely justify them being high in BR - but the way they are right now, they are a complete waste of time.
Heck, why should I pick a MG34 with terrible accuracy when SMGs are decent enough at midrange. I pick a simple MP40 over every single MG in the entire game.
You run faster, you can actually hit your target reliably, you don’t need for ever to reload and the recoil is non existent.

Lol not really, MP40 has higher dispersion than MG34. Mg34 has more ammo , damage and higher fire rate. Making it better than MP40 in mid to long range and it is still effective on short range.
