With all the work devs did, please add WWI trench fighting as tier 0…we have most of the equipment anyways and it will allow new additions to the TT. New map and gear to TT…once tweaked it can make a fun addition.

I think that since they put in the time to create the map, they should leave it active. However, I would never choose to use it.

Once they tweak the constant explosions it’ll be fun…it’s a cool idea…but needs some revisions.

World War II is a continuation of the history of World War I. As a cause-and-effect relationship, I think that if Enlisted officially adds a Tier 0 campaign mode to the game and develops in this direction, it will seamlessly connect the complete military history from World War I to World War II.

Im just going to use it once its added to the WW1 mod, honestly ngl, its pretty fun, easily their best even for a long time.

While it is very fun and neat for history, no. This is a WW2 game. I believe at least it will remain in customs/ mods
I already don’t want this game to leave WW2 for a long time and thankfully that is the case now. I certainly don’t want it to start moving backwards either!

Rhetorical question: Without World War I, where would World War II have come from? Do you really know how World War II broke out? It was precisely because the problems of World War I were not handled properly that World War II occurred.
If it doesn’t make itself unique…it might get eateh by WT Infantry.
I wish there was a France nation to play. I want to use Lebels and Chauchats

I think this game has great DNA and think it would be great for other war eras, but there would be multiple problems with this.
In order to have some semblance of immersion every era would have to be strictly separated. We couldn’t have sliding BRs.
Another problem is factions. How do you make a Polish faction make sense in the Korean War or Vietnam. Unless if it just becomes a completely chaotic free for all where you’ll get M1 Abrahms in Normandy and Russians fighting the Japanese on Iwo Jima and who knows what other monstrosities. It would just become a huge mess. I assume when most people play a war game they expect to actually be fighting said war.
They would basically have to make every war its own campaign, ie maps, weapons, vehicles are locked. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this but the whole reason why this game abandoned campaigns was because it was separting players
Enlisted could’ve accomplished at least something like multiple eras but with Warthunder Infantry I don’t know if we’ll ever get a modern era. But Enlisted’s saving grace is that WT is going to stay modern while we stay WW2. It already has the advantage of being one of the few WW2 shooters these days. So if you want to play the first “modern war” we have this game. That’s why I play this game
I’m not entirely opposed to other eras but I don’t want that for a long time if not never. I came and I’m here for WW2

I love this idea and in my view this whole event should be a permanent addition to Enlisted, not sure how many people would play it, but I welcome its permanence in the game

True WT is starting at the Korean war on…hence why this game could do the great wars and still be Enlisted…instead of Conscripted or Drafted
For SUre, it’s about time Enlisted expanded it’s timeframe for Campaigns, since we already have SOOOoo much WW1 and Pre-War Weapons…

One thing is puzzling: I might be in the big minority here, but I actually do like the “lone wolf” approach, but then again I also liked the old official lone wolf mode while it was still around (until they hid it away in the custom matches) - in fact I played that one exclusively until it was no longer possible in official matches (and only then started to play the squad mode).
My biggest gripe with squad mode is that the AI is less than intelligent (to put it mildly) and in most cases the AI either gets itself killed quickly or they manage to get you killed (because they reveal your current spot as they walk out in the open and not stay in cover or ignore your orders to stay somewhere). If we could command them a bit more like it was possible back in the famous “Brothers in Arms” series (where you could tell half of your squad to guard a direction and put down suppression fire - and those guys DID use cover and stayed there) it would go a long way.

I definitely would play…especially since I have grinded the TT and need something when there is no events. Plus it’s fun…if it was expanded a little more it’s Enlisted WWI. A lot of work went into this…keeping it makes up for fewer maps the past year.
AI for WWII works but lone wolf in the trenches was definitely the way to go.
