I recently bought the German premium plane BF110 c-6. I have tested this plane for dozens of times and the firepower does not penetrate the tanks. I have only ever destroyed 2 tanks after dozens of strafing runs. It has not been my strafing skills that has resulted in the low firepower this plane has. The plane has 30 mm auto cannons. Why cannot this plane blow up tanks with 30 mm cannons? It is even a challenge to do any legitimate damage to tanks. I have researched this plane and seen multiple, multiple reviews of this plane all saying it does not blow up or destroy tanks. The reviewers including myself have to put this plane away and not play it because it does not do significant damage to enemy tanks. I want to make a suggestion to the developers: Please increase the firepower of this plane so the 30 mm auto cannons destroy tanks. I just want this plane to actually do damage in the games instead of doing next to nothing against the enemy when i strafe them.
HEI-F shells
I use it mainly for fighting infantry, its shells are less effective than any missiles, but they are more accurate and more numerous, so you can effectively destroy infantry in trenches or other narrow shelters
I think it is only Anti infantry ammunition and I flagged this myself, I now use in one of my BR presets as heavy fighter, have different plane for bombs / tanks.
I also purchased this plane a while ago, but since I wasn’t able to use it effectively back then, I had left it aside for a long time. Recently, I wanted to give it another try, but honestly, I can’t really understand the purpose of this plane in the game or how it can be used effectively.
If there are players who actually know how to make the most of this aircraft and it’s simply a matter of skill on my side, I would really appreciate hearing their experiences and suggestions. However, as far as I can tell, its current state feels very limited in terms of usability, and I believe it needs some improvements.
Every second round is AP-I (58mm pen)
So that means only half of the rounds you fire can penetrate a tank
Mostly you will just snipe a few crew members or start an engine fire.
You can get lucky with an ammo rack kill but that generally requires multiple hits on the same shell in the rack and pretty specific aiming
It also means you have to make your runs from specific angles and directions.
Its not easy, nor very effective
I dont own this plane, never used it, I just took it to the practice area and popped 7 tanks in 5 minutes.
The plane is only BR 2 so dont use it in high BR, low BR tanks should be not much of a problem.
