if you stay in the spawn screen with a gray squad selected you can stay afk as long as you like

Nope, just pick last 2 squads that you used. This game wont let you spawn the 2 squads that you previously used.

First select tank\plane squad.

Yes please increase the AFK timer, i had to quickly stop playing and when I came back the battle kicked me.
