Please help APCs

The machine guns on the half tracks are pretty poopy both in terms of damage and actual usability since there’s no suppression mechanic and its very hard to see anything with no zoom on top of kinda sad traverse limits (251/1)
Could you please consider adding a higher magnification on the rmb zoom for the half track machine guns?
And maybe fixing the fifty cal on the M3’s damage to be more in line with the Sherman pintle fifties and the HMG nest since it seems to actually be doing as much damage as a tank coax like the 7.92s and 7.62s

And I’ve got another request, please give the half tracks a bit more leeway in terms of protection vs small arms fire. Like rifle and SMG fire I mean, not proper hmg like Dshk, 131, or M2. Not to an unrealistic standard like increasing hitbox size, but just protect the poor guys in the back unless they get hit directly

Another thing that makes the APC machine guns almost unusable is how slow they move. Take for example the Bren Carrier, it takes like 2 seconds for the Bren to move from right to left while also emitting tank turret sounds for some reason?? It’s a LMG, I should be able to turn it towards my targets just as fast as the machine gun nests I can build.

The motorcycle squad machine guns don’t have this problem, while there’s some delay it’s way faster to aim with them

Good suggestions all around, I would also add the overheat of the machine gun on the 251/1 is atrocious and needs adjustment.

The motorcycle MG has precisely this problem. That’s since APCs can somewhat be turned to increase rotation speed of the mounted MG, whereas the motorcycle is too uncontrollable to turn it in the direction you need to aim.

I have both in my loadout currently and the UC is much easier to hit enemies with.

The overheat on all MGs that aren’t HMG nests is atrocious and should be adjusted
ESPECIALLY coax on German vehicles and the pintle fifty on Shermans and the like

Yes, you’re right. I just meant the gun movement is noticeably faster, even though it’s still quite bad coupled with the limited angle

I just find it ridiculous that the machine guns on these vehicles move like they’re tank guns

The angles available on the 251/1 are actually pathetic and should be increased
Especially since you’re at high risk in that position

APCs generally shouldn’t be in a position where it has to fight or get shot at in the first place. Armaments seem superfluous, especially when you can already drive around and shoot with your personal weapon.

As for protection, I’m averse to artificially adding more protection to the vehicle- I’d rather that the passengers and crew of any mounted weapon take low-profile positions that don’t make them easy targets. It’s also a bit difficult to do properly because when there are targets bots can engage from the back of a truck, they will fire out and shoot, anyway.

Indeed, MGs on APCs are joke. Funnily enough, even my bots with personal weapons are more efficient than those MGs.

Why not, but nerf their armor vs heavy weapons then. More than once I shot at an APC from a tank or using an AT gun and after 8 to 10 shots they didn’t feel like blowing up. It seems their present armor is a tad too thick.
