M1 Bazookas and Springfield Snipers are underwhelming when the axis side gets scoped FG 42s and Panzerfausts.
M1 Bazookas can’t even penetrate the side armor of Tigers, and will struggle in general. M1C Garands at least offer a scoped semi-automatic option.
Ideally, I’d prefer M18 Recoilless Rifles that paratroopers were equipped with, but I’ll put my preferences aside to give the allies a more competitive tool.
The M9 Bazooka equivalent is the Panzershreck, not the Panzerfaust. The Sniper Garand is the campaign equivalent with the FG-42 II though, so I’m not sure why they get Springfields. Might be a historical accuracy thing, since my understanding is that M1C Garands entered service after WW2 had ended, while the FG-42 was obviously made specifically for paratroopers.

It would be nice that in Tunisia Allies get the M9 just because axis has PZshrek so so far better … during this time allies in Pacific got it while they face low armored vehicle … weird balance
He said M1C Garands. I’m not super familiar with all the Garand variants. There is a non-M1C Scoped Garand in Normandy and the Scoped M1C in the Pacific. To my knowledge neither were used in the war.
Tiger is completely immune to the Bazookas, meanwhile Panzerfaust is way better correct

Sturmpistol, it was year back when it was unbalanced when it was Jumbo vs Panzer IV H, faust can pen jumbo from the front, i just did it yesterday and killed it. sides as well will connect. Tiger on the otherhand is completely invincible towards M1 bazooka
Balance wise its not balanced at all
Both the Panzershreck and Panzerfaust have nearly twice the pen of the M9

In terms of equipment, the US is pretty shafted in terms of performance.

scoped FG 42 are garbage, too much zoom yet too much deviation makes the gun incapable of fighting medium ranged targets while also being not accurate enough to fight long range targets.
The only purpose of this weapon is to remove the scope and use it as a somewhat better regular FG42.
Yet as long as the Nazis didnt invent something like a mass issued recoilless gun, I doubt its gonna be more.
And these are alresdy pretty much the strongest AT weapons of Germany.
It was actually pretty great before the FG-42 nerfs a few months back. That little bit of instability hit the x4 scope really hard.
Imo, I don’t think the paratroopers need further reinforcement.
I would rather see British paratroopers given proper British-made weapons.
