Currently, the lack of a nameplate makes it impossible for us to identify our allies.
Because of this, quick chats such as “Follow me” or “Cover me” is completely useless.
Additionally, we can’t report trolls because we are impossible to know who is sabotaging friendly unless they killed teammates.(this is the biggest problem)
Some may think that the UI will be cumbersome, but you can make it able to turn it on and off, or make it the name is only displayed while the hotkey is pressed.
The names were displayed in Modern Warfare events and former Lone Fighters mode, so I’d like to see the simillar thing done in Squad mode.
Please devs, add nameplate.
Sincerely.

It is especially important so we can report and votekick afk tankers since those slots are valuable and afk tank means enemy has one more tank in the battle.

I think so, but considering this game plays on “realism” it would defy the objective to add arcadey stuff like name tags above players. I could understand if they added a realistic game mode alongside an arcade on but rn we have squads so there is some difficulty regarding this idea’s implementation.
Do remember there is an afk kick, but I do agree with that for something like customs.

nah, realism or not doesn’t really matter here. as there’s literally giant bubble marking above every capture point.
at least give a nametag for each player controlled soldier only just like if you play in party wouldn’t hard so much.

Agreed,imagine a multiplayer game without a nameplate…
I really wish the names displayed over the soldiers again in the Lone Soldier mode.
AT LEAST, your friends who accepted your squad invitation in the main menu.
