Spawn invincibility with rally points was obviously OP and unfair, since you can see fight people with the spawn invincibility active. But when you use the normal spawns (the ones that are always there, idk the formal name for them) it’d take awhile to get to the frontline, and keeping spawn invincibility with the normal spawns can help prevent spawn camping. This will also prevent situations where smart pilots can just bomb the spawns for free points. Spawning in and then immediately dying to a stuka or IL-2 is extremely annoying and hard to counter.

It doesn’t help that the default spawn points usually don’t have any cover. So on some maps it’s possible to push the other team off all the points, then spawn camp them.
Yes for normal spawns and no for engineer created spawns. Its mostly needed for conquest mode really. Invasion mode does not really have an issue with this.
No thank you. I got quite tired of happening upon an enemy rally, having a whole enemy squad spawn in, and being immune to all damage. That got tired really fast.
Now, for the normal spawns? Maybe. I would rather bombs be nerfed hard first before spawn invulnerability get’s reinstated.

For the OP, yes, we need spawn immunity from the base spawns, currently it’s far too easy to bombing run on the spawns and get tons of kills.

No. Some spawn locations can literally kill you and theres nothing you can do about it, its extremely immersion breaking when they can shoot and kill you while you can’t
Ill give you an example on Airfield, Allies and Germans spawn in the opposite side of the bunker of each other. If either side were immune it would be retarded as f and makes for easy cap / easy defend

Squads spawn and being immune to damage for 10 seconds was the most bullshit thing i ever encounter and was not fun at all and extremely unrealistic.
Ever saw the actions on D-Day? Do they get spawn protection when they are on the Beach? No
It was only ever ~5 seconds from spawn beacons, and aside from airfield, and to a slight degree D-day, almost all base spawns are covered from enemy fire unless the enemy has pushed into your spawn (something you want to discourage regardless).
I doubt anyone here is advocating for close to 10 second spawn immunity, 2-3 seconds from base spawns would be more than enough in most cases to stop people from being spawn camped, and if spawns were more spread out they would avoid bombing runs being so strong, hence not needing a huge spawn immunity to avoid bombers. You could also code it in that spawn immunity runs out when the player fires a bullet too, but probably not needed if its only 2-3 seconds, as the only people they’ll kill are spawn campers who are scum anyway.
