As an FPS shooting game, public chat should be the most basic function, Communicating with enemy players is also very important for FPS games,and sometimes this function can inspire friendly morale.

we have the team chat and the quick chat but no one uses them, because too much time is wasted writing or selecting instead of playing and they also work badly
(enter = chat) (alt = quick chat)
There is also voice chat, which I have never heard anyone else use except one of my friends in game. I believe he said it’s F2 or something like that.
If you are talking about public chat inside the game I would have to say NO.
This could lead to a lot of negative things.
-killed by enemy plane bomb/arty/mortar goes to chat starts flame war.
-saw a name of a player that you hated in previous match goes to chat start to harass.
-saw a teammate that stays in one place goes to chat tell the enemy the location.
-hated your team for some reason like trolling announce to enemy the weakness of every objectives.
So NO for me.

Hell yes. Bring back public chat so I can banter with the other side. Words on a screen shouldnt hurt you.

I’m the kind of person that loves bantering and bming with the red team but with this community, I would expect an infestation of inflamed ragechildren. That being said, ALL CHAT! \o/
I have voice turned off as it has only been disruptive. Have a toggle for all chat in options and set it to off as default.
